Reddit user Slider-678 asked: 'What are you most worried your wife will find if she snoops?'

The key to a successful relationship is honesty.

If you want to earn your partner's trust, effectively seeing them earn your trust in return, it is vitally important to be as transparent as possible.

That being said, everyone still has their own little secrets.

Not the sort that will have any significant bearing on our relationships, but rather tiny, little things we generally like to keep to ourselves.

Things that we still feel slightly embarrassed even let our partner discover, and do our best to keep them hidden.

Redditor Slider-678 was eager to be told all the things people try to keep hidden from their spouses and partners at all costs, leading them to ask:

"What are you most worried your wife will find if she snoops?"

One for every occasion!

"In the back of one of my drawers, I have a couple of 'emergency gifts'."

"You know, in case I forget something, or she's having a bad day and needs a pick me up."

"She's not figured out how I always have a little gift ready 'at just the right time' yet."

"Here's my list, I'll normally have 2-3 of these lying around:"

"Cute socks (normal and fluffy)."

"Small LEGO something (Brickheadz are good)."

"Something Harry Potter related (there are a million and twelve random HP gifty things available, most of them fall in the category of 'sh*t with a Hogwarts house on it' but we're not breaking the bank here)."

"Chocolate, either a few bars of the cheap stuff tied together, or something a bit fancier."

"Handmade UNO Reverse cards, if it's her turn to do the pots or something and she really doesn't want to, she can give up one of the cards and I'll do it."

It's understandable why we all feel the need to keep some things to ourselves, refusing to even tell those we love the most.

However, while everyone deserves a surprise every now and then, keeping some secrets simply isn't worth it owing to the stress they inflict upon ourselves.

Being open and honest will always lead to a much happier life.
