Conspiracy Theorists Are Obsessed With Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez And Her Boyfriend—Here's Why

Republican conspiracy theorists have convinced themselves that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has hired her boyfriend.

The truth is she just wants him to have access to her calendar, but the Right has convinced themselves that she's trying to cover up some sort of scheme.

We know, the hypocrisy is strong considering the number of Trump family members working in the White House.

The false claim of AOC hiring her boyfriend started on Friday morning when Luke Thompson, vice president of the Republican analytics firm Applecart, Tweeted a screenshot of AOC's boyfriend's government contact information.

He stated:

"While you were having a nice Valentine's Day, @AOC decided to put her boyfriend on staff - drawing a salary on the taxpayer's dime. Nice to see her adapting to the swamp so quickly."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, never one to shy away from a Twitter fight, quickly spoke up to clarify the situation.

She explained that by having government email, it allows him access into her Google Calendar.

She goes on to explain that:

"Congressional spouses get Gcal access all the time."

AOC's chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti went on to further explain the situation.

"He's not paid. We have no volunteers in the office. He's not doing any government work. He can see her calendar just like spouses/partners/family members in other congressional office."

People can't believe that conservatives are trying to make this into a thing.

Ivanka? Jared?

Nice try, conservatives.

Let's focus on the real issues now, please?

MAGA Influencer Charlie Kirk Called Out After Blaming DEI For High Death Toll In Texas Flooding Disaster

Turning Point USA founder and MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk was harshly criticized after he claimed the death toll in the flash floods that have devastated central Texas "would not have been as high if it wasn't for DEI," ridiculously suggesting that principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion were responsible.

Kirk's comments are reflective of President Donald Trump’s broader push to dismantle federal programs focused on diversity and inclusion—part of what he pledged in his inaugural address would be a campaign to stop attempts to “socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life.”
