Truth Social Crashed Amid Trump's Epic Feud With Musk—And The Error Screen Was Unintentionally On Point

As Donald Trump and Elon Musk publicly feuded, Truth Social crashed due to a traffic surge, and the site's error screen said the quiet part out loud about Trump's social media site.

As President Donald Trump and his one-time billionaire ally Elon Musk publicly feuded, Truth Social crashed due to a traffic surge—and while the circumstances behind the feud are stunning, sparking considerable online conversation, one thing that really got people going was that Truth Social's error screen was unintentionally, well, truthful, in relaying that there are "no truths" to be found on the platform.

The feud had been brewing since Tuesday, when Musk denounced a sweeping GOP-backed bill covering taxes, spending cuts, energy policy, and border security as a “disgusting abomination,” citing concerns over its projected impact on the national deficit. Musk has made clear he intends to either derail the legislation or push lawmakers to significantly revise it.

Trump later acknowledged their fraying relationship, expressing that he was “very disappointed” in Musk over his vocal criticism of the Trump administration's domestic policy agenda—and this came just days after Trump openly praised Musk's contributions as Musk stepped down from his advisory role with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

As the two men hurled insults on their respective social media platforms, Trump suggested that Musk’s companies could face scrutiny over their numerous government contracts, hinting at potential cuts. In response, Musk claimed that Trump’s name appeared in the so-called Epstein files—a reference to documents related to the late financier, pedophile, and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, whose connections to public figures have drawn intense public interest.

The whole situation, shocking as it was, drew unprecedented traffic to Trump's Truth Social platform, sending it crashing as MAGA followers scrambled to track the feud's development.

You can see how site traffic spiked in the screenshot below.

Once Trump's page crashed, users could only see the following very appropriate message:

"No Truths. When this user composes a Truth, or ReTruths, you will see it here."

You can see the message in the screenshot below.

Yes, Trump's own site accidentally said everything you need to know about Trump's platform—and this did not go over anyone's head.

The White House did not outright deny Musk's claim that Trump's name is in the Epstein files, with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt only saying that Musk is "unhappy" with the GOP's "One Big Beautiful Bill":

“This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful Bill because it does not include the policies he wanted. The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again."

Still, Musk stands by his words, claiming that Trump’s alleged presence in the Epstein files is the “real reason” more documents related to Epstein have not been made public. He did not offer any evidence to support the claim or clarify how he would have access to unreleased records.

Adding to the mess, Musk even endorsed the idea of impeaching Trump and replacing him with Vice President JD Vance—words that stunned even many otherwise supportive Republicans.

In response, Trump said he didn’t “mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago.” He later declined to take questions from reporters during an afternoon appearance alongside the Fraternal Order of Police.
