A 2016 video in which the 'Midnights' singer participated in 'Vogue' magazine's '73 Questions' series showcased Swift's unhealthy relationship with food.

Fans of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift have been saddened by a resurfaced video that gives a glimpse into the star's issues with food.

The clip comes from a 2016 video Swift made with Vogue magazine as part of its popular "73 Questions" series.

In it, Swift discusses the restrictions she has placed on herself when it comes to food and eating, and many fans are seeing it as evidence of the stars unhealthy relationship with food.

Vogue's "73 Questions" included several that pertained to food, and Swift's answers have struck many as sad and possibly indicative of deeper issues around weight and body image.

At one point in the video, Swift was asked what her favorite food is. She responded by discussing the restrictions she places on her diet, telling Vogue:

"I mean, if we're just saying, what I wish I could eat every day, if calories didn't count--chicken tenders."

In another, the magazine asked Swift what was the last thing she baked. She replied:

"A gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate cake."

Swift also told the magazine that the one thing she carries with her from her childhood is her "insecurities," leading many fans to read between the lines of her previous comments about food.

Swift has been candid about her food issues in the past, most notably in her 2020 documentary Miss Americana, in which she discussed the unhealthy food habits she has had while touring. She said:

"I thought I was supposed to feel like I was going to pass out at the end of a show, or in the middle of it."
"Now I realize, no, if you eat food, have energy, get stronger, you can do all these shows and not feel enervated."

On TikTok, fans found the resurfaced Vogue clip heartbreaking--especially those who also have insecurities centered on food and weight.

The resurfaced clip has gone viral on TikTok just weeks after Swift was embroiled in controversy over the video for her new song "Anti-Hero" off her recently released album Midnights.

The original video for the song featured a depiction of Swift's insecurities about her weight in which she stepped onto a scale which read the word "Fat" instead of a weight measurement.

Many criticized the clip as being fatphobic and reifying unhealthy body and food standards, and Swift has since re-edited and re-released the video without the word "fat" included.
