Petco Worker Stands Up To Rude Customer Who Takes Anger About 'Empty Shelves' Out On Her

Petco Worker Stands Up To Rude Customer Who Takes Anger About 'Empty Shelves' Out On Her

A retail worker has gone viral after standing up to a rude customer she was secretly filming.

A TikToker named Nic, who goes by @nicki20xx on the platform, filmed the clip after several interactions with the rude customer, who is a regular at the Petco at which she works and hassles her and her coworkers every time.

Nic's fellow TikTokers applauded her for standing up for herself and her colleagues. See the video below.

this gives me anxiety every time i watch it ugh #karen #karensgoingwild #MyPlayoffPicks #fyp #fy #fypシ #retail

As Nic's onscreen text revealed, conflicts with this particular customer are a weekly occurrence, despite their efforts to be helpful. She wrote:

“Whenever this customer comes in she gaslights my coworkers and I and is super disrespectful. We are always so helpful and nice but I am done with her treating my coworkers like trash.”

The customer can be heard complaining in the background of Nic's video, to which Nic responds by saying she's informed her various managers about the problem.

In response, the customer shushes Nic--and that was the last straw for her. Nic calmly put the customer in place.

“We are so nice to you every time you come in and you disrespect us. I am not going to listen to you shush me. You can listen to us.”

In a follow-up TikTok, Nic revealed that the woman comes in every single Friday looking for the same discontinued cat food, and complains that it's not on the shelf every week.

Reply to @kathleena.niemer heres a lil context. thanks for all the support guys 🥺❤️

And despite she and her coworkers going above and beyond to try to rectify the situation--notifying management, suggesting replacements and even referring the woman to two other pet stores--she hassles them every week.

Understandably, Nic and her coworkers' patience with the woman has grown thin. Her original video closes with a simple lesson: As the woman complains once more as she goes out the door, Nic wishes her a happy holiday, then calls after her:

"It's not hard to be nice."

Then in a moment relatable to anyone who's ever worked in customer service, Nic scolds the woman once she's out of earshot:

"I'm tired of it. Every time she comes in here she treats us like sh*t!"

Others on TikTok applauded Nic, especially those with customer service experience themselves.

Special Olympics Fires Back At Kid Rock With Powerful Statement After He Used 'The R-Word' To Describe Halloween Costume

MAGA singer Kid Rock was called out by Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, after he used the "r-word"—a known ableist slur—to describe his Halloween costume this year.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters when he donned a face mask and said he'd be going as a "r**ard" for Halloween. Watters had guessed he was dressed as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who spearheaded the nation's COVID-19 pandemic response.

MTG Just Went On CNN To Torch The Republican Party Over The Shutdown—And What Timeline Is This?

Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green criticized her own party during a CNN appearance, saying that the GOP's shutdown strategy isn't working as they continue to argue with Democrats over wages, bills, and healthcare.

Greene stressed that she doesn't believe the shutdown—which just hit the one-month mark—"is going to help Republicans in the midterms" as much as Republicans continue to pin the blame on Democrats despite refusing to negotiate on Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies and other matters.
