People Debate Which Cancelled TV Shows Should Be Brought Back

The decisions of which shows get to stay and which get cancelled cab seem awfully arbitrary sometimes.

A show that seems to be doing well, devoted following, good merchandise sales, etc., can suddenly find itself cancelled. Sometimes the public outcry can bring a show back from the brink, and sometimes it'll get picked up by another network (or Netflix), but oftentimes were just left disappointed.

Reddit user smoothoperator 24 asked:

"What cancelled TV show should be brought back?"

Get ready for a trip down nostalgia lane.

Are You Afraid Of The Dark?

Giphy

But dont increase the picture quality or acting.

-arcticmattys

I LOVED Are you Afraid as a 90s kid. Went back and watched some episodes a few years ago and holy god, I do not remember the acting being that bad. What the hell Canadian talent agency did they find those actors in?

-RoosterHogburn

The main kid is a weatherman for CBC now.

-HelloMegaphone

Constantine

Constantine, if only to wrap up the insane cliffhanger it ended on.

-penguinopph

It's definitely getting resolved in Legends of Tomorrow this season.

-Cama456

I dunno... Constantine himself got moved to the show, and they've been dealing with the supernatural the last couple of seasons, but I haven't seen anything indicating they were going to pick up the Brujeria/Rising Darkness storyline.

Better Off Ted

Better Off Ted. Though "Corporate" is a Less Quirky replacement.

-kab0b87

Yes please. That show was so good. It's a shame though, even if it did come back, Portia de Rossi is retired from acting now.

-gibberishparrot

Well, as long as we've still got Phil and Lem then I'm still in.

-DreamcastJunkie

Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but with Will as the Uncle.

-HomeHeatingTips

he's flat out refused to revive or do a reunion special of fresh prince of bel-air, as he says that it just wouldnt feel right without james avery, as will smith has said he was the true heart and soul of the show and without him, its not worth it.

-KR_Blade

Thanks for reminding me that Uncle Phil died. Now I'm gonna be depressed as I go to bed...

-AboynamedDOOMTRAIN

Pushing Daisies

-SpiderMonkeyMagic

Yes! Pushing Daisies was wonderful and quirky and different. Had it started 2 years later I'm sure it would have lasted so much longer.

-meow_witch

Anna Friel and Kristin Chenoweth every week.

What could be better.

-ITworksGuys

Lee Pace's eyebrows every week.

-MaWhat

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

-AsterJax

Most underappreciated show I've ever watched.

-VocationFumes

Just discovered this show last week. Downright shameful to end such a masterpiece.

-thanksyobama

I stumbled upon the show, binge watched both seasons and looked up when season 3 was coming out. I was disappointed. :(

-imurphs

Danny Phantom

I'll mention Danny Phantom, and am surprised no one else here did already.

-Moleman-NineThousand

HOLY HELL I cannot believe how far down I had to scroll to find this!!!

The plot ghost for a reboot that keeps coming up to shout BOO when I'm daydreaming is Jack actually being a MENSA-level genius that plays a bumbling buffoon in order to get the slip on anyone that tries to hurt his family or interfere with his work. He finds an audio recording of the accident weeks after Danny's soul kickstarts the portal, but he decides to let Danny tell him when he's ready.

KABLAM!

Giphy

It was a weekend stop-motion animation show on Nickelodeon, heavily featuring off-brand action figures and dolls.

And you may be saying, "But moronicuniform! Doesn't Robot Chicken already do that for adults with better jokes?"
And my answer to that is, shut up Seth, you're drunk.

-moronicuniform

That was the one with Prometheus and Bob!

-Override9636

YES! I loved this show because it had so many different skits in it and animation styles.

-eddyathome

The Flesh! He's super strong........and super naked!

-MakeTVGreatAgain

Firefly

[Insert obligatory "Firefly" comment here]

-The_Red_Renegade

I just want Nathan Fillion in space.

-bystander007

I love this show. It's amazing, and for a long time this was my answer.

But please don't.

Even if we brought Ron Glass back to life, the actors have all grown, changed. We can't be 100% sure that the same magic would be there.

I would rather have the memory of an amazing show gone too soon, then a show that came back a husk of what could have been. From Whedon's cynicism, or actors changing. And having it ruin what we do have

So please, please don't.

-Abyss1213

Stargate Universe

-Noil75012

Hell yeah. Or anything Stargate, really. Not that >200 episodes of SG-1 exactly left me feeling short-changed, but, God damn I miss Teal'c sometimes. I'm playing the new God of War *mainly* because Christopher Judge.

-Kodi_Yak

Words can't describe the joy I get watching SG-1. It has aged incredibly well and should really be mentioned in the same sentence as Star Trek and Star Wars.

Jasmine Crockett Calls Out Trump's Hypocrisy By Pointing Out How Melania Got Her Visa

Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett pointed out President Donald Trump's hypocrisy on immigration considering how First Lady Melania Trump's pathway to citizenship was possible because she received an "Einstein visa," which is usually reserved for an individual with "some sort of significant achievement."

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing titled “Restoring Integrity and Security to the Visa Process,” Crockett noted that “the idea that Trump and my Republican colleagues want to restore integrity and security in the visa process is actually a joke," and harshly criticized the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and visa restrictions.

Fox Host Comes To Reporter's Defense After Pete Hegseth Berates Her At Pentagon Briefing

Fox News' chief political analyst Brit Hume came to the defense of Fox national security reporter Jennifer Griffin after their former colleague, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, criticized Griffin as the reporter "who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says” in a Pentagon news conference.

Hegseth, a former Fox News anchor, had criticized media outlets—including his former network—for what he described as unpatriotic reporting. Hegseth took particular aim at early intelligence assessments suggesting that President Donald Trump's bombing of Iran may not have significantly crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Fox Host Slams Dem For Dropping An F-Bomb After Praising Trump For The Same Thing Just Minutes Earlier

Fox News host Emily Compagno was criticized after she praised Donald Trump's use of the "f-bomb" earlier this week before condemning Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's use of the same word—on the same episode of her show, no less.

Trump made headlines this week after admonishing Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire agreement he'd announced on Truth Social. Although he claimed the ceasefire had been "agreed upon," Iran fired at least six missile barrages at Israel after it was supposed to take effect.
