Nancy Pelosi Just Threw Some Iconic Shade At Trump During Her Speech About Stepping Down From Leadership

The outgoing Speaker of the House gave some shoutouts to past Presidents with whom she worked.

After a historic tenure as the nation's first woman Speaker of the House, California Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi announced she will not be pursuing a role as the House's top Democrat after Republicans narrowly clinched the majority earlier this week.

It brings to a close a truly significant tenure as the House's Democratic leader, a role she first assumed in 2006 during the presidency of Republican George W. Bush.

During a House gathering yesterday in which she announced "the hour's come for a new generation to lead the Democratic caucus," Pelosi reflected on the historic nature of her time leading Democrats in the House, speaking glowingly of all of the Presidents with whom she's worked closely over the years.

Well—all but one of them, that is.

Pelosi didn't even bother mentioning former Republican President Donald Trump, opting instead to get in a deliciously shady dig at the former President without so much as speaking his name.

Sort of like...

Pelosi and Trump of course had a famously tense relationship that saw Trump frequently speaking ill of Pelosi in public comments and referring to her as "Crazy Nancy"—a nickname he reused during his recent midterm MAGA rallies.

But the last laugh seems to be Pelosi's.

Again.

People applaud her wonderfully subtle drag of Trump.

See her comments below.

Pelosi not only refrained from mentioning Trump but seemed to pretend he doesn't even exist, just like many of the rest of us do. She said:

“I have enjoyed working with three presidents."

Pelosi has, of course, worked with four presidents in her tenure.

And lest Trump and his cult try to frame her comments otherwise, Pelosi quickly named the three presidents she's "enjoyed working with," going on to say:

"...achieving historic investments in clean energy with President George Bush."
"Transformative healthcare reform with President Barack Obama."
"And forging the future from infrastructure to healthcare to climate action with President Joe Biden.”

On Twitter, people loved Pelosi's shady moment.

Pelosi was handily reelected to the House in this month's midterms but is rumored to be planning not to seek reelection in 2024.

House Dems will conduct their speakership vote on November 30, when New York Democrat Hakeem Jeffries is expected to win the role.

A 'Fake Egg' Prank Targeting Kids Is Trending On TikTok—But Not Everyone Thinks It's Funny

In a recent TikTok trend, people are presenting young children with "fake eggs" and crushing the egg in their hands to show that the eggs are fake.

In order for this trend to work, the person has to poke a hole into each end of the egg to drain it of its yolk and let the shell dry, so it becomes more brittle and easy to crush, making the prank more believable.

Guy Sparks Debate After Abandoning Girlfriend In Economy While He Booked Himself A First Class Seat On Flight

It's really hard to watch while someone is clearly not being treated well enough by their partner, and instead of accepting the reality check for what it is, they spend their time digging their heels in deeper and defending their partner's honor.

That was certainly true for TikToker Nicole Vawter, or @nicmarievee, anyway, when fellow TikTokers called her partner out on selfishly booking himself a first class seat while his long-time girlfriend sat back in economy.

Guy Sparks Modern Dating Debate With His Unhinged Texts To Woman Who Turned Him Down For Second Date

You know what they say: if a person has to point out how nice they are, they probably aren't really all that nice.

Actions tend to speak louder than words, with an affinity for niceness and kindness being among the best examples. When a person is truly nice and kind, it will come through in their daily attitude and actions without them having to say anything at all.
