Trump’s UN Ambassador Just Clapped Back at the White House Over Russia Sanctions ‘Confusion’
NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 14: United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley listens during a United Nations Security Council emergency meeting concerning the situation in Syria, at United Nations headquarters, April 14, 2018 in New York City. There have been some very mixed messages coming out of the White House over additional Russia sanctions.

On Sunday, Trump's U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley announced on Face the Nation that new sanctions would be coming soon against Russia for their support of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Haley was clear that Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin would be "announcing those on Monday."

Then, later Sunday, Donald Trump apparently expressed his misgivings about executing additional sanctions against Russia and deployed Sarah Sanders the next day to walk back Haley's claim.

Sanders told the press that the administration was simply “considering additional sanctions on Russia” and that “a decision will be made in the near future.”

When pressed for an explanation on the competing claims, Trump's National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow said Haley “got ahead of the curve.”

“She’s done a great job. She’s been a great ambassador, but there might have been some momentary confusion about that. But if you talk to [US Treasury Secretary] Steve Mnuchin ... he will tell you the same thing. They’re in charge of this.”

Haley immediately hit back in a statement read live on Fox News:

"With all due respect, I don’t get confused."

Kudlow tried to walk back his walk back, saying “She was certainly not confused. I was wrong to say that — totally wrong.”

But the damage was done. Haley's credibility is shot.

Haley was cheered on, by conservatives...

And media alike:

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
