TikToker @jannatransmomma hit out at critics after letting her transgender teenage son, Cody, have top surgery—and showed how the results basically spoke for themselves.

A woman on TikTok has gone viral for defending her decision to let her 17-year-old son have top surgery.

@jannatransmomma opened up in a powerful 58-second video responding to criticism she's received, for example:

"That's crazy."
"That's insane."
"That's child abuse."

But the proud mom revealed in her video that the result speaks for itself.

She captioned the video:

“Cody’s heart is so full."

She began the TikTok by listing the aforementioned negative remarks she's endured from others and then added:

“Until you look at the really, really happy kid who walked out of the doctor’s office today, feeling really great about himself for the first time in I don’t even know how long.”

The video then turned to face her son, Cody, as he left the doctor's office after seeing his post-top surgery chest for the first time, and his face tells the viewer everything they need to know.

His mom asked:

“What did it feel like when you saw your chest for the first time?”

To which Cody replied:

“Normal.”

*Cue the tears*

Cody then emotionally explained:

"I'm really happy."
"It finally feels right for the first time."

The TikToker has also stitched some "less informed" videos with details regarding her son's journey.

In one, she started:

“How many times do we have to say this to these idiots who just don’t educate?"
“We are not taking children who say that they’re a boy when they’re born female in to have their breasts removed. It doesn’t work like that.”

She noted it wasn't a decision the family took lightly, and they waited until just a month before Cody's 18th birthday, adding:

“That was with a lot of meetings with doctors, therapists, his father, myself...and he came out [at the] age of fifteen.”
“We are not just sending these kids to surgeons to have body parts removed. That doesn’t happen."

She finished her video with a powerful message:

“If you love your child and you let them guide you, one of two things is going to happen."
“They’re going to come out trans when they’re old enough to really make that decision, as far as medical intervention is what I’m talking about.”
“You’re either going to see that unfold or they’re going to say, ‘Yeah, I’m not really a boy.'"
“Either way, their relationship with you will not be tarnished because they know that my mom loved me no matter what my decisions were.”

Take note, parents.

Even Trump's NASA Director Had To Set Kim Kardashian Straight After She Said The Moon Landing 'Didn't Happen'

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy—who is also NASA's Acting Administrator—issued the weirdest fact-check ever when he corrected reality star Kim Kardashian after she revealed herself to be a moon landing conspiracist.

Conspiracy theorists have long alleged the moon landing was fabricated by NASA in what they claim was an elaborate hoax—and Kardashian certainly made it clear where she stands in a video speaking to co-star Sarah Paulson on the set of the new Hulu drama All’s Fair.

Biggest Financial Mistakes People Make In Their 20s

It can be really fun to experience something for the first time that you've never really had before, like a disposable income.

For the average person, there isn't generally a lot of excess money to spend frivolously when they're a child, so when they hit their twenties and have their first "real" or "more important" job, they might find themselves in a position to enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Special Olympics Fires Back At Kid Rock With Powerful Statement After He Used 'The R-Word' To Describe Halloween Costume

MAGA singer Kid Rock was called out by Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, after he used the "r-word"—a known ableist slur—to describe his Halloween costume this year.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters when he donned a face mask and said he'd be going as a "r**ard" for Halloween. Watters had guessed he was dressed as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who spearheaded the nation's COVID-19 pandemic response.
