Before Meghan Markle began dating Prince Harry, the Suits star had a lifestyle blog called The Tig, It has since been shut down, but back in 2014, Markle interviewed Princess Alia Al-Senussi of Libya, and in the article gave readers a few of her thoughts on royalty.

In the piece, Markle writes:

Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power. For those of you unfamiliar with the '80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man, and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength. We're definitely not talking about Cinderella here.

We cant say we are surprised, Markle has been a strong and out spoken feminist leader, long before she married her prince. In addition to her own visions of what it meant to be princess, Markle discussed her future sister-in-law saying:

And grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.






Some folks thought it was pretty normal for a child to want to grow up to be a princess.
