Actress Megan Fox didn't mince words when responding to the judgmental comments of the age gap between her and her beau, rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Fox slammed the "patriarchy" after finally being tired of dealing with the double standard criticism and told critics to, "Go f'k yourself."

Fox, who is 35, initially met Kelly, 31, in May 2020 on the set of their forthcoming movie, Midnight in the Switchgrass, and made their relationship official on Instagram the following month after her appearance in his "Bloody Valentine" music video.

In an interview with InStyle Magazine, Fox said:

"You want to talk about patriarchy? The fact that he's four years younger than me, and people want to act like I'm dating a younger man."
"He's 31, and I'm 35. Granted, he's lived like he's 19 his whole life, but he isn't 19."

She went on to mention how, in her opinion, the situation would be different if it involved a male celebrity.

"No one would blink twice if George Clooney was dating someone four years younger."

She continued:

"Four years? Go f*ck yourself. We would have been in high school together. That's so ridiculous that women are treated that way."

People also rolled their eyes at the age gap criticism.

Whenever she is out and about, the working mother said she is typically asked where her kids are at – a sexist question her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green, is never asked.

She and Green – from whom she filed for divorce last year – have joint custody of their three sons, Noah Shannon Green (8½-years-old), Bodhi Ransom Green (7-years-old) and Journey River Green (4½-years-old).

"You don't expect a dad to be with the kids all the time, but I'm supposed to not be seen and be at home with my kids," she said in the interview.

"They have another parent. I have to leave and sometimes I don't want them photographed and they don't come with me. This whole year I've been very surprised by how archaic some of the mindsets still are in some people."

Kelly also appeared for the interview, and when questioned about what Fox was like as his significant other, he said:

"She's like the earth. When it's summer, it's the hottest summer. When it's winter, it's the most amazing chill. In the fall and spring, it's a beautiful transition."
