It's a question we've all asked at one point or another, "Whatever happened to" that one certain celebrity?

Well, if you've ever wondered about Lisa Jakub, the child actor who played the elder daughter in Mrs. Doubtfire, wonder no longer.

When a website posed that very query, she publicly answered.

The internet is loving her for it.

Celebrity gossip site Nicki Swift posted an article asking about Jakub's whereabouts, so Jakub screenshot the site's article and gave them an answer.

"Well, ummm, I mean, a lot of stuff has happened since 1993 so you're gonna need to be more specific."

It's kind of a perfect answer.

After all, pretty much any of us would have a list a mile long if we had to account for the past 18 years. And for Jakub, it turns out that list is pretty impressive.

Just what has she been up to since she acted alongside Robin Williams and Sally Field in one of the most beloved films of the 90s?

She's published two books, trained to be a yoga teacher, started a yoga practice for veterans, and became a speaker, author and advocate on mental health topics. That's after she acted for eight more years following Mrs. Doubtfire, went to college and got married as well.

And made at least one burrito.

But perhaps you're one of the people wondering why she did all that when she could have just continued being a movie star? Jakub has an answer for that too—in book form.

As she shared in a follow-up to her viral tweet, she published a memoir in 2015 about her 18-year career in Hollywood and why she decided to leave it behind, titled You Look Like That Girl: A Child Actor Stops Pretending and Finally Grows Up.

Suffice to say, "whatever happened to that girl from Mrs. Doubtfire" turns out to have a lengthy answer.

And on Twitter, people loved her cheeky response to the question.

With this list of accomplishments, who knows what "that girl from Mrs. Doubtfire" will have achieved in another 18 years.

Hopefully more burritos are involved.

Man Goes Viral After 3D-Printing A 6-Pound Phone Case To Combat Screen Addiction

Many Millennials will remember back in the nineties as the last of the "latchkey kids" who were prominently babysat by their televisions, and the commercials that rolled out, made popular on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, promoting kids to go play outside instead of watching TV all day.

Now in 2025, videos on Instagram and TikTok encouraging people to "pause their scroll" and to "put down their phones" are becoming more common and popular, because people are realizing how detrimental our increasing screen time is to our emotional, physical, and psychological health.

Woman Sparks Heated Debate After Encouraging People To Smile At Walmart Greeters

There's an old saying that goes, "It costs nothing to be kind."

Smiling at a stranger, saying hi back to a young and socialable child, holding a door for someone, and maybe even exchanging a pleasantry or two at the checkout line costs nothing more than a few words passing our lips and showing a little kindness.
