On Sunday, April 4, First Lady Jill Biden exited Air Force One wearing a black skirt and black, patterned stockings.

Conservatives on the internet immediately began incorrectly referring to Biden's tights as "fishnet stockings" and used her fashion as an opportunity to criticize her.




Male Republicans were especially cruel to Biden.


Meanwhile, liberals on Twitter were quick to come to Biden's defense.



The First Lady deserves better than random harassment from strange men online.



The way Republicans speak about Jill Biden's appearance is markedly different from how they treated Melania Trump.



It seems nothing is below the dignity of Republicans who are looking to mock their political opponents.
