The private dinner, which is for Oscar nominees, is at 7:30pm on Thursday—and that doesn't jibe well with Curtis' sleep schedule.

After four and a half decades of gracing us with her presence on the big screen, Jamie Lee Curtis was finally nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The icon, however, will not be breaking bread with fellow nominees this Thursday—and for the most relatable reason.

The Best Supporting Actress contender let us in on a little "secret" during a red carpet interview with The Hollywood Reporter at Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards.

She shared:

"I'm going to tell you a secret right now."
"There is a nominees dinner, an Academy Award nominees private dinner on Thursday night that starts at 7:30 p.m., and I have declined."
"Now, you might say, 'Jamie, you're nominated for an Academy Award. You're going to be in the room with only nominees for the Academy Award.' And I have declined."

She continued, revealing the deep, dark truth:

"Why?"
"Because mommy goes to bed early."

Curtis finished:

"'Cause 7:30 p.m. is going to be 9 before we get food, and you know what?"
"There is nothing good happening with me after 9 p.m. Nothing, zero!"

You can watch her honest admission below.

Viewers of the moment were all too familiar with JLC's justification for missing the event and applauded her commitment to quality slumber.

She truly is all of us.

The 95th Academy Awards are this Sunday, March 12, at the Dolby Theatre and will be aired on ABC. Curtis' fellow category nominees include Angela Bassett, Hong Chau, Kerry Condon and Everything costar Stephanie Hsu.
