Avengers: Endgame smashed long-held box office records after nabbing another $145.8 million domestically and $282.2 million overseas in its second weekend since its official release on April 26.

The Marvel film's impressive box office haul surpassed that of James Cameron's Titanic, which grossed $2.187 billion, without adjusting for inflation, in 1997.

So far, Endgame is clocking in at $2.27 billion.

Cameron admitted defeat and congratulated the Avengers for sinking "his" Titanic on Twitter.

In Thursday's tweet, Cameron enthused that Endgame's success shuts down cynics predicting the death of the multiplex.

"To Kevin and everyone at Marvel. An iceberg sank the real Titanic. It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic. Everyone here at Lightstorm Entertainment salutes your amazing achievement. You've shown that the movie industry is not only alive and well, it's bigger than ever!"

Fans were pleasantly surprised at the good sportsmanship on display.

However, Cameron still reigns supreme, with Avatar (2009) being the highest-grossing film of all time with $2.8 billion at the global box office.

But if Endgame maintains their momentum, it could eclipse Cameron's sci-fi masterpiece.

Still, fans view Cameron as an unsinkable visionary.

They're all in it for the love of cinema.

James Cameron and Marvel could collaborate on a mashup where we can visit the fated lovers via the quantum realm.

Hey, we can all dream, can't we?

People Break Down The 'Silent Red Flags' Folks Tend To Ignore In Relationships

A red flag has come to mean any warning sign in life, in addition to the literal red flags that are placed on beaches or industrial sites to warn people of danger.

People will respond to situations by saying, "That’s a red flag." But before that language evolved, they'd just call them "warning signs."

Resurfaced Trump Tweet Criticizing Obama Over Iran Comes Back To Bite Him

Amid tensions with Iran, President Donald Trump was criticized for hypocrisy after social media users resurfaced a 2013 tweet in which he accused former President Barack Obama of planning an attack on Iran because of his "inability to negotiate properly."

Trump has declined to clarify whether the U.S. is edging closer to launching strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, following a warning from Iran’s supreme leader against any attack and a rejection of Trump’s demand for surrender.
