A Guy Texted His Ex-Girlfriend That She's A 'Moron' During Capitol Riots—So She Turned Him In

You know what they say: Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Or, you know, the hand of the woman who is keeping the fact you were involved in the Capitol insurrection a secret.

Richard Michetti of Delaware County, "Delco," Pennsylvania learned this the hard way after he called his ex-girlfriend "a moron."

Michetti and his ex-girlfriend, who has not been identified, were debating voting fraud and the arrival of President Joe Biden in the Oval Office, as well as Michetti's involvement in the insurrection... via text message.

Michetti texted:

"If you can't see the election was stolen, you're a moron."
"This is our country, do you think we live like kings because no one sacrificed anything?"
"The vote was a fraud, and [former-President Donald] Trump won, but they won't audit the votes."

Michetti proceeded to dodge tear gas and rubber bullets in order to break into the building.

All the while, he continued to argue with his girlfriend about his involvement in the riot.

Michetti texted:

"This is tyranny. They told us, 'We rigged the election and there's nuthin you can do about it'."
"What do you think should be done?"

Just days after the January 6 storming of the Capitol, Michetti's girlfriend reached out to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with the ultimate revenge fantasy.

She was able to get back at her boyfriend for calling her names by providing the FBI with all of their text messages related to the storming of the Capitol, as well as a video she had available.

She also assisted the FBI by identifying her ex-boyfriend in various photographs the Bureau had available from the day of the insurrection. He was easily identified with his branded hoodie, White Sox cap, and a surgical mask.

Quite condemningly, the FBI was also able to track down a receipt of Michetti booking a hotel room in the DC area for the night of January 5 and checking out of the hotel on January 6.

Twitter thoroughly enjoyed the girlfriend standing up for herself.

Richard Michetti was arrested and charged with violent entry, entering a restricted building, the obstruction of the work of Congress, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. He could receive a sentence of up to 20 years for his obstruction of Congress work alone.

Michetti was arraigned at the US District Court in Philadelphia on Tuesday, February 23, and was released on bail until his day in court.
