On Sunday, South Carolina resident Randolph White was in his bathroom shaving when he heard a fighter jet crash outside.

And fortunately for all of the internet, his impression of the crashing aircraft was caught on camera.

White was interviewed by local TV station WBTW about the incident, and he hilariously described exactly what he heard.

He explained:

“I heard a screeching. Between a screech and a whistle. I said, 'What in the world is this?'”

White then amazingly recreated the noise. "Between a screech and a whistle" is accurate.

"And I heard a boom! Then my whole house shook.”

He shrugged it off, though, figuring it was just a "meteorite from outer space."

You can watch the interview below.

People online were highly entertained and in awe of White's performance.

The F-35 fighter jet White heard had been missing for 24 hours before the crash site was located.

The pilot had been safely ejected, but the military was unable to locate the aircraft.

NBC News reported:

"The debris was discovered about two hours northeast of Joint Base Charleston in North Charleston."
"The base sparked international headlines Sunday after it put out a request on social media for 'any information' that might help locate the aircraft, an F-35B Lightning II fighter jet, which comes with a price tag of about $80 million."
"The air base had said it was working with Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort to 'locate an F-35 that was involved in a mishap' Sunday afternoon."

... and now we know exactly what it sounded like.
