Impressive Single-Shot Video Highlighting Minneapolis Bowling Alley Majorly Impresses Hollywood

It's a moment to remember when you're doing something you enjoy.

But it's even cooler when you are recognized for your skills.

Director Anthony Jaska and Jay Christensen recently experienced both of these moments when their last film project went viral and caught the attention of some of the biggest names currently in Hollywood.

The video was shot by Christensen, who is an aerial photographer, using his drone. The video begins on the outside of the Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota before entering and exploring the goings-on of the bowling alley.

You can watch the video here:

The video, entitled Right Up Our Alley was originally shared by Christensen to Instagram, where it was quickly picked up and shared by a series of big names.

The pair shot the video after-hours at the bowling alley and shot four different videos before creating a single-take they were happy with. Other than adding Jaska's voiceover, which was full of The Big Lebowski references, the video received no additional editing, with most importantly, no jump-cuts or film splicing.

The duo wanted the film to be complete with only one shot.

Their efforts obviously were extremely well-recognized.

The video was first shared from Instagram to Twitter by Lee Trott, whose post blew up overnight.

Then another Lee, Lee Unkrich, who directed popular Pixar films, Coco and Toy Story 3, shared the video.

Of the video he said:

"This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Jaw on the floor."

Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn was incredibly impressed.

So much so, he wanted to invite the duo to the filming of the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Apparently, these guys are going to become a part of the MCU (Marvel Comic Universe).

Or maybe the Lord of the Rings franchise, after Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins) commented on the video:

"HOLY SH*T."

Then Todd Vaziri, who has been involved in Star Trek, Avatar, and multiple MCU films had the final say.

"This kind of wonderful photographic innovation adds to the language and vocabulary of cinema. Just beautiful."

It's so cool to see this pair receiving recognition for something they enjoyed making and they were so passionate about doing well.

Not to mention the added benefit of drawing attention to the bowling alley where the video was filmed, which has suffered like so many other small businesses during the pandemic.

NASA Chief Responds To 10-Year-Old's Adorable Letter Asking For Pluto To Be Reclassified As A Planet

Those of us who were in school prior to 2006 would be able to recite an acronym or saying that lists the order of the planets in our solar system, such as "My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Peaches".

That old saying officially became outdated in 2006, when the final planet in that saying, Pluto, was officially declassified by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), and was thus no longer considered a planet.

MAGA Melts Down After 'Woke' Pope Leo Urges The World To 'Search Always For Peace'

MAGA followers were not happy with Pope Leo XIV and accused him of being "woke" after he, in remarks to reporters, implored "people of good will" to "search always for peace."

The Pope spoke out after President Donald Trump insisted that God supports his war on Iran and declared—before a provisional ceasefire was announced—that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" ahead of a deadline to bomb Iran’s power plants and bridges that legal scholars and world leaders have said would constitute war crimes.
