In an interview with Greatest Hits Radio ahead of the release of her 49th (!) solo studio album Rockstar, the iconic Dolly Parton told Ken Bruce she has no plans of retiring anytime soon.

The country music legend whose career so far has spanned an impressive five-plus decades revealed her hopes that she'll be performing and making music until the day she dies.

She told the host:

“I’m not one to sit around doin’ nothin’. I would never retire."
"I’ll just hopefully drop dead in the middle of a song onstage someday, hopefully one I’ve written."

The Grammy winner shared that only hers or her husband's health would be a reason to "ever slow down."

“But anyhow, that’s how I hope to go, we don’t have much of a choice in that but as long as I’m able to work, as long as my health is good and my husband is good, the only way that I would ever slow down or stop would be for that reason."
"But in the meantime I’m going to make hay while the sun shines.”

While people on social media don't even want to think about a world without the "Jolene" writer and singer...

... they also commended the star for continuing to do what makes her happy.

Parton's Rockstar album is set for release in November.

She told Bruce the idea for the record stemmed from her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, despite Parton noting she is a country music singer.

The album, she said in the interview, is a way to "earn my keep."

Gal Gadot Had No Idea Tom Cruise Gives Fellow Celebs His Famous Holiday Cake Despite Working With Him—And Her Reaction Is Priceless

In 2008, when Diane Keaton was filming Mad Money with Katie Holmes, the pair decided to have a random contest to see who could find the most delicious cake in LA. Holmes' then-husband, Tom Cruise, agreed to judge, only for him to completely fall in love with the white chocolate coconut cake that Keaton presented.
