Cowboys for Trump Founder Who Said Trump Was 'Divinely Chosen' Just Threw Him Under the Bus

This past Friday, far-right conspiracy theorists held the "For God and Country Patriot Double Down" conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. A key feature of the convention was the QAnon mass delusion, which hinges on the belief that former President Donald Trump was sent by God to expose a covert network of satanic cannibal pedophiles secretly controlling the United States government.

Among the conference's speakers was Couy Griffin, the founder of Cowboys for Trump, who once said that Trump was "divinely chosen" to rule the nation. Griffin was among the rioters in the deadly failed insurrection against the United States Capitol, spurred by Trump's election lies.

As a result, Griffin was arrested and held in jail before being released until the conclusion of his trial.

At the conference, the Cowboys for Trump founder alluded to his stint in jail in a diatribe excoriating Trump for failing to "lock up" former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, whom QAnon believers insist is one of the principal operators of the "Deep State."

Watch part of Griffin's speech below.

He told the crowd:

"We supported President Trump for his fight for justice as well, and for four years we cried 'lock her up. Lock her up. Lock her up.' We know she's a criminal. What did the president tell us? 'If I was in charge, you'd be in jail. Ok, Mr. President, you've been in charge of the law for four years. At the end of your four year time, the only ones locked up were men like me, and others like me, that have stood by the president the strongest."'

QAnon believers have been repeatedly disappointed after years of waiting for Trump to expose the nonexistent Deep State cannibals for supposed crimes against humanity, resulting in mass arrests and a new world order.

People mocked Griffin for apparently realizing Trump's promises were hollow.

Some speculated that Trump's followers were finally being disillusioned.

Time will tell.
