TikToker @lissieasebes decided to let her chickens do the carving this year.

With Halloween quickly upon us, excitement has been brewing since mortals have been anticipating the witching hour by getting a head start on the macabre festivities since September.

But why should we have all the fun participating in the rituals that come with All Hallow's Eve?

A crafty woman thought the tradition of pumpkin carving should be extended to other species–like chickens.

Lissie, a.k.a. TikToker @lissieasebes, posted several clips involving her fine-feathered friends helping carve out her pumpkins, and the unfolding progress has bedazzled obsessed viewers.

The TikToker was prompted to experiment after learning from her "Chicken group" on Facebook that the birds would start pecking out shallow carvings on pumpkins.

Below is the first in a series of clips–which resulted in over 7.4 million views–and it shows Lissie making the initial scrapes on the surfaces of two pumpkins outside her door.

Lissie showed the progress made in the next video revealing the chickens' handiwork.

Sure enough, the two pumpkins flanking her porch had deeper holes from where Lissie initially carved off thin layers of pumpkin skin.

The holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth became more pronounced, much to her delight.

Good job, chickens.

With a little bit more work needing to be done, a user suggested:

"Maybe try shaving a patch of it up so they can get to the yellow part better and peck away!"

It seems taking the note has paid off.

The final result was positively delightful, as you can see for yourself.
