4-Year-Old Girl With Spina Bifida Exudes Pure Joy As She Takes Her First Steps With The Help Of A New Walker

For four-year-old Kenydii Parker, being able to walk seemed like a distant dream. But last month, the sweet preschooler took her first steps thanks to a new walker.

And she couldn't look happier!

Kenydii's aunt, Yvette Parker, captured the moment in a video and posted it to Facebook. The video has gone viral, with thousands of comments and hundreds of thousands of shares.

Yvette captioned the video saying,

"Today starts Day 2 come on my luv you got this#Never say never#GOD has the last word🙏🏾🙏🏾This is truly the happiest day of her life💯❤️#Spina Bifida"

As the young girl walks, her classmates can be seen and heard cheering her on in the back. Kenydii's infectious smile is wide on her face as she takes those first steps.

Kenydii was born with spina bifida, a condition where the spine and spinal cord don't properly form in. Because of this condition, she's had to rely on a wheelchair to get around.

But seeing her walk is absolutely stunning.

Kenydii's parents, Kenneth and Terry, found out she had spina bifida while Terry was still pregnant. Despite this, Kenydii has a bright and fun personality.

Spina bifida's incomplete closing of the vertebrae can lead to leg weakness, paralysis and orthopedic abnormalities, among other physical symptoms. The condition is one of the most common birth defects worldwide, though lower rates are observed in the United States.

Watching Kenydii move is enough to make you cry!

In an interview with People Magazine Kenneth said,

"The first time I saw the video, I was at work. It broke me down because everyone was cheering her on. Seeing her accomplish her main goal was a beautiful thing."

Kenydii's parents run an Instagram account for her to continue sharing her story. They often post photos and videos of the young girl practicing with her braces and walker.

And she's getting good!

I'd say "congratulations" are in order.

Nothing seems to get conservatives' goats quite like celebrities having political opinions—well, liberal and leftist celebrities, anyway.

They seem to love it when weird right-wing celebs like Kevin Sorbo get on the internet and say bizarre, usually counterfactual nonsense, or when JK Rowling does her darnedest to make her legacy not about Harry Potter but about her weird obsession with trans people.

Ann Coulter Faces Fierce Backlash After Saying 'We Didn't Kill Enough Indians' In Deleted Post

Far-right provocateur Ann Coulter is facing fierce criticism after she made a genocidal remark in a now-deleted post on X in response to University of Minnesota professor and Navajo Nation member Melanie Yazzie's speech about colonization.

Yazzie, in a speech at last year's annual Socialism Conference, said "decolonization is the only thing that is going to save us as a species" during a panel hosted by Red Nation, a Native American nonprofit that advocates for Palestinian and Native American rights. She also said that the United States is the "greatest predator empire that has ever existed" and said it should be dismantled.
