Guy Feels Awful After Delivery Driver Thought He Was Yelling At Him—So He Makes It Up To Him In The Best Way

Guy Feels Awful After Delivery Driver Thought He Was Yelling At Him—So He Makes It Up To Him In The Best Way

We've all been haunted by embarrassing moments in our lives, like misunderstanding what was going on, acting in an awkward way or even waving at someone who wasn't waving at us.

But every once in a while, our awkward moment can have a happy ending.

Mark of @markp_ on TikTok recently ordered a DoorDash delivery, but when the delivery person, Sami arrived, Mark's dog was barking and would not move away from the door.

Angry, Mark yelled:

"Get away from the door, mate!"

Alarmingly, Sami misunderstood this and thought Mark was yelling at him and his face was visibly saddened in the TikTok video.

He placed the food at the edge of the porch and left without further comment.

You can watch the first video here:

Im genuinely losing sleep over this. He was so sweet and my dog is a menace 🥺

Viewers of the video felt terrible for Sami, which Mark responded to in his next video.

Mark explained how he had reached out to DoorDash:

"I wanted to start by saying that I have genuinely lost sleep over this, so thank you for all collectively sobbing with me through the night."
"Unfortunately because it was two nights ago, I no longer can contact the driver directly. So I reached out to their support team through their chat and have given them a message to pass on."
"I have asked if I can tip him, and unfortunately again, because it has been two days, they cannot tip him. It has to be when the order is 'live' or whatever."
"So, that's all I can do for now, but it's honestly not good enough for me."

Replying to @userrrrrr1002 One step closer to closure with our sweet @DoorDash driver 💔

TikTokers started tagging the DoorDash TikTok account to see if they could help find Sami.

Replying to @thashapadona Still haven’t found Sami. We need help from @doordash and all of you! 🥺💔

Heartwarmingly, Mark's misunderstanding had the happy ending he was hoping for.

Mark's original video was duetted with another person's video, which slowly panned over to Sami sitting on a couch.

Mark duetted with that video, showing his immense surprise Sami had been found.

@markp_

#duet with @maroob MAJOR UPDATE. We found Sami!!!!!! Thank you so much TikTok. I love this community! I’ll keep you all posted after my opportunity to connect! ❤️

DoorDash then made the happy ending all the sweeter.

"We have found Sami, and DoorDash has found us. DoorDash Australia has reached out to me this morning after coming across the TikTok videos and they have given this awesome update."
"They plan to make Sami a Top Dasher for life and are topping up (increasing) his pay this week."
"This is such an awesome response from DoorDash Australia, and I am so, so grateful. It makes my heart a little bit happier knowing that Sami finally knows that I was yelling at my dog, not him, and now DoorDash Australia have come to the party and sweetened the deal even more."
@markp_

Replying to @doordash 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 We love to see it.

In a final update, Mark was able to get some closure and meet with Sami in person.

@markp_

Replying to @stylands Thank You, TikTok for helping me apologise and show my appreciation to Sami!

TikTok absolutely loved this entire saga and was grateful it ended so well for Mark and Sami.

Elon Musk Cries Racism After Associated Press Explains Why They Capitalize 'Black' But Not 'White'

Elon Musk has spent the year picking fights, from health research funding to imagined productivity crises among federal workers and whether DOGE accomplished anything at all besides leaving chaos in its wake.

Marvel Just Confirmed That Chris Evans Is Returning For 'Avengers: Doomsday'—And Fans Have Mixed Feelings

Folks, once again, continuity is more of a suggestion than a rule in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel has officially confirmed that Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, and the internet has responded exactly how you’d expect: screaming, celebrating, arguing, and a very justified side-eye toward how Sam Wilson keeps getting treated.

The confirmation comes via a teaser now playing exclusively in theaters ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash. There is no official online release, despite leaks circulating. If you didn’t catch it on the big screen, Marvel’s response is essentially: sorry, guess you had to be there.
