Former Republican President Donald Trump is well known for his way with words, but for all the wrong reasons.
So naturally, his forthcoming book about the 2020 election has the internet howling for its most Trumpy of all titles.
The former President announced the book this week at a rally in Texas, and the title alone is among the most melodramatic and unhinged strands of words in history.
The book's publisher--his son Donald Trump Jr.'s publishing company--announced the book in a tweet, seen below.

"CRIME OF THE CENTURY," you say? First of all, calm down and stop yelling, Jr. Second of all, what crime?
Trump, of course, means the "crime" of the 2020 election, which he and his followers continue to insist was stolen from him despite such a dearth of evidence that even his hand-picked Supreme Court Justices wouldn't deliver him a victory.
As he told his recent rally crowd in Austin, Texas:
"This is the greatest hoax, heist. This is one of the greatest crimes in the history of our country."
"And sadly, the prosecutors don’t want to do anything about it."
"This is the crime of the century. I’m actually writing a book about it called The Crime of the Century.”
Eloquent as always. Trump went on to talk about the book as only he could, promoting it with a totally negative and unappealing summary.
He told his crowd:
“You’ll be very depressed when you read it, but we want to have it down for historic reasons.”
Wow, what a ringing endorsement. Can't wait to read it!
Of course, post-White House memoirs are practically a cottage industry, with nearly every departing President landing a book deal.
Trump, however, has had to resort to his son self-publishing his book, because according to the publishing industry rumor mill, no mainstream publisher wants anything to do with a book by Trump ever again.
One insider told Politico:
"[I]t would be too hard to get a book that was factually accurate, actually... If he can’t even admit that he lost the election, then how do you publish that?"
On Twitter, people of course roasted Trump to a crisp over his big announcement.
