Miami Rapper Doubles Down After Saying Beyoncé Can't Sing—And The Beyhive Let Him Have It

It's one of the immutable laws of the internet: mess with Beyoncé, and you will get stung her army of stans, "The Beyhive."

Miami rapper Trick Daddy recently learned this the hard way when he claimed that Beyoncé "can't sing," then doubled down on the claim during an interview.

It all began when the rapper attempted to drag Queen Bey in a discussion on the invite-only social media app Clubhouse, which can be heard below.

In the recording, Trick Daddy could be heard saying:

"Beyoncé ain't trying to give back to music or nothing. Beyoncé don't write music and barely can sing her motherfuc*in' self. Beyoncé can't sing!"

If you gasped aloud at this egregious criticism you are not alone. But it got worse. Trick Daddy also went on to drag Beyoncé again while also dragging her husband, fellow rapper Jay-Z.

"Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to New York. That's why they together. Jay-Z ain't never won the greatest rapper alive. Whoever put him on a level like that?"

An uproar immediately erupted as clips of Trick Daddy's comments began to circulate on Twitter, with members of the Beyhive defending their slandered queen.

But Trick Daddy was unfazed. When questioned about his comments by rapper and radio host Trina during an appearance on her radio show "The Trick N' Trina Morning Show," Trick Daddy simply doubled down, calling his comments his "unpopular opinion." For her part, Trina, who has collaborated on songs with Trick Daddy, immediately distanced herself from his comments in an Instagram post.

Naturally, Trick Daddy's doubling down only enraged The Beyhive even more, and it seemed to result in the rapper softening his stance on the 28-time Grammy winner. In an Instagram Live, Trick Daddy qualified his comments, saying Beyoncé can "sing" but she can't "sang" like Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston.

But as you might guess, that did nothing to calm The Beyhive, and the stingers came out once again--and this time, it got serious!

Hopefully Trick Daddy has plenty of ice on hand for all those Bey-stings.
