The Rock Speaks Out After 'Guardian Angel' Rebecca Ferguson Says Costar 'Screamed' At Her

After Ferguson revealed without naming names that she'd had to stick up for herself when an 'absolute idiot' of a costar 'screamed at' her on set, The Rock responded to back her up with some support.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is sticking up for fellow actor Rebecca Ferguson after she recently revealed an altercation with a costar.

Ferguson, who stars in the upcoming Dune: Part Two, told the story during an appearance on the "Reign With Josh Smith" podcast of a run-in with an "absolute idiot" actor who berated her on set.

As Ferguson and Johnson starred together in Hercules, some people online speculated that he was the "absolute idiot" in question, but he quickly took to Twitter to take Ferguson's side instead.

Johnson wrote:

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullsh*t. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.”

There are abundant theories as to that last part, from Hugh Grant and Hugh Jackman to Chris Hemsworth and Tom Cruise.

Ferguson told Smith on the podcast that Cruise and Jackman were definitely not on the list, but people online had plenty of replacement names, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender.

Whoever it was, it sounds like they were truly a tyrant. Ferguson told The Daily Beast:

“This human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out."
"But because this person was number one on the call sheet. There was no safety net for me.”

And it seems he took all his frustrations out on Ferguson. She went on to tell The Daily Beast that "no one had my back" on set, and the actor was allowed to continually berate her with impunity, making her cry.

She elaborated:

"This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What the fu*k is this?’ And I stood there just breaking.”

Ferguson told Smith that this was the last straw, and she began to fight back.

“The next day I walked on and I said, ‘You get off my set.' It was the first time I’d ever spoken [back to that person]. I was so scared. And I looked at this person and said ‘You can f*ck off.'”

Producers still wouldn't do anything about it, however, given the actor's top-talent status, so Ferguson came up with her own solution.

She explained:

“The person can turn around and I can act to the back [of their] head. And I did.”

Fans online applauded The Rock was standing up for Ferguson amid the abuse she had to suffer, and loved the idea of him taking care of whoever it was that got so out of line.

Sounds like some Hollywood jabroni is about to smell what The Rock is cooking very, very soon.

Agriculture Secretary Gives Truly Bleak Description Of A Cheap Meal Option For Americans—And Wow

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins was criticized for attempting to downplay rising food costs by sharing her rather dystopian idea of a $3 meal for American consumers amid the ongoing affordability crisis.

Rollins claimed that food prices were coming down, even as the latest Consumer Price Index shows grocery costs rising 0.7% in December. Some staples climbed far faster. Beef—which Rollins elevated near the top of the food pyramid in the dietary guidelines she unveiled this month—increased 1% over the month and was up 16.4% compared with a year earlier.
