A Dallas, Texas man has been taken into custody after assaulting his roommate for a bizarre reason.

Victor Symone Shavers, 43, was arrested after beating his roommate with a stick.

Dallas police were called to the 1500 block of Cape Cod Drive at 2:45am on Sunday morning to find the roommate standing on the street, face covered in blood after an altercation with Shavers.

The altercation occurred earlier that Sunday morning after Shavers and his roommate became engaged in an argument over "what a mosquito looks like."

Yes, you read that right.

According to the affidavit, Shavers alleged his roommate did, in fact, know what a mosquito looked like. The roommate, whose identity has not been released, argued back he did not, in fact, know what a mosquito looked like.

Shavers then allegedly retreated to his room where he retrieved a wooden stick he had been keeping behind his bed and proceeded to beat his roommate “in the head with the stick at least 6 times," according to the police affidavit.

The roommate then managed to grab a metal bat from his closet to defend himself, according to police documents.

The roommate suffered multiple injuries, including deep cuts on his left cheek, and the left side and back of his head—one of which required stitches—as well as a swollen and potentially broken hand.

Shavers admitted to police he struck first during the altercation and was subsequently taken into custody.

Twitter users are taken aback over the bizarre argument that led to the assault.

Shavers is currently being held as an inmate at Dallas County Jail, where he was previously being held on a misdemeanor charge for family violence.

He is being charged with both assault and aggravated assault "causing serious bodily injury" according to jail records.

Shavers is being held on a $28,000 bond.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
