Republican Senator of Texas and potential GOP presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, is infamous for his social media squabbles, but a recent post of his saw even more backlash than usual.
Cruz shared a video of a Russian Military ad and a U.S. Military ad, slamming the U.S. ad for its inclusive message.
Watch below.
Holy crap.

Perhaps a woke, emasculated military is not the best idea....https://twitter.com/pardesseleh/status/1395093475230724103 …— Ted Cruz (@Ted Cruz) 1621522890
The Russian military ad features gratuitous shots of shirtless men doing pushups and jumping out of planes, while the animated U.S. Military ad presented a daughter of two moms touting the military as a way to find her "inner-strength."
"Holy crap," Cruz tweeted before calling the ad "emasculated."
Soon, Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth, who lost both her legs while serving in Iraq when her Black Hawk helicopter was shot by a rocket-propelled grenade, responded to Cruz's tweet.
Holy crap.

Perhaps a U.S. Senator shouldn't suggest that the *Russian* military is better than the American military that protected him from an insurrection he helped foment?https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1395394254969753601 …— Tammy Duckworth (@Tammy Duckworth) 1621553622
Perhaps he should be thanking these badass women?

Duckworth was alluding to the siege of the United States Capitol by pro-Trump extremists this past January. The insurrectionists were motivated by former President Donald Trump's lies regarding the validity of the 2020 election. Cruz not only amplified these lies, but objected to the counting of electoral votes in swing states Trump lost, even after the riots unfolded.
People largely sided with Duckworth.

Cruz later used a homophobic slur to insist he wasn't mad the original tweet backfired.
I’m enjoying lefty blue checkmarks losing their minds over this tweet, dishonestly claiming that I’m “attacking the military.”

Uh, no. We have the greatest military on earth, but Dem politicians & woke media are trying to turn them into pansies.

The new Dem videos are terrible.https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1395394254969753601 …— Ted Cruz (@Ted Cruz) 1621568748
But the hits kept on coming—many from people who actually served in the armed forces.
Dear @tedcruz - you have no idea what being a warrior is all about.

Signed, all women who have worn the uniform to protect your right to be an ass.https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1395394254969753601 …— Amy McGrath (@Amy McGrath) 1621551710
Alexa, how can you easily spot the guys who are intensely insecure about their own masculinity?https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1395394254969753601 …— MJ Hegar (@MJ Hegar) 1621603401
Because you served in the military so you know, right? The U.S. military is second to none. Please keep it out of your political theater. I hear there are actual problems Congress needs to address. BTW didn’t you swear to support and defend the US Constitution?https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1395394254969753601 …— Alexander S. Vindman (@Alexander S. Vindman) 1621534734

Ted Cruz has never served in the military.
