'Miracle' Puppy Born After Its Mother Was Hit By A Car

'Miracle' Puppy Born After Its Mother Was Hit By A Car
Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue

Xena the warrior Chihuahua is proving worthy of her name.

She gave birth to a miracle puppy after getting hit by a car and losing her leg.

Xena was hit by a car, while not only pregnant, but in labor!

Thankfully she survived her injuries and so did her puppy.

Fuzzball Animal Rescue, based out of Hermiston Oregon, took the pregnant stray in after the accident.

She was then taken to Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic.

Xena had surgery to remove her leg and a c-section to save her puppy. The baby boy turned out to be too big to be born naturally.

Fuzzball Animal Rescue were truly angels for this little pup!

The rescue posted on their Facebook page:

"It is so wonderful to see that both are doing amazing! This is one heck of a miracle. This mama is a warrior and so is her baby, To have survived being on the streets, run over, in labor with a puppy that was too big to come out and then a c-section and leg amputation while in shock! They are little miracles!"

Fuzzball Animal Rescue named Xena upon receiving her. They named her son Atlas Marvel.

Xena had a bit of a health setback sending her back to the clinic.

The rescue organization is taking donations to help pay for the surgeries.

People who wish to donate can call Oregon Trail Animal Hospital at 541-567-1138. Donations can also be donated through PayPal at fuzzballrescue.com.

She certainly lives up to her warrior name!

We look forward to following Xena and baby Atlas Marvel's recovery.

People Break Down The 'Silent Red Flags' Folks Tend To Ignore In Relationships

A red flag has come to mean any warning sign in life, in addition to the literal red flags that are placed on beaches or industrial sites to warn people of danger.

People will respond to situations by saying, "That’s a red flag." But before that language evolved, they'd just call them "warning signs."
