" Weird Al" Yankovic is known for his song parodies, and in an interview on Off Camera with Sam Jones, he revealed that one parody could have gone an entirely different route had he taken a suggestion from Paul McCartney.

That's right, the ex-Beatle himself didn't want his song "Live and Let Die" to become Weird Al's "Chicken Pot Pie" because he's a vegetarian.

Yankovic recalled that McCartney's team wasn't against a parody at all.

He just objected to having chicken in the proverbial pot pie:

"They didn't want to be associated with anything that was condoning the consumption of animal flesh. So what got back to me was, he'd be OK if it was 'Tofu Pot Pie' or like 'Veggie Pot Pie' or whatever."

Yankovic said "no" and the rest is history.

Funnily enough, Yankovic is also a vegetarian... and he has no problem singing about chicken pot pies.
