GOP Rep. Accidentally Give Trump A Fitting New Nickname With Hilarious Freudian Slip

Republican Rep. Andy Ogles quickly corrected himself during his House floor speech—but the damage was done.

Social media users had a field day after Tennesee Republican Representative Andy Ogles accidentally gave former President Donald Trump a fitting new nickname during a speech on the House floor.

Although Ogles quickly corrected himself during remarks in which he referred to a certain "President Chump," the damage was already done.

You can hear what he said in the video below.

The mockery was swift.

Freudian slip or not, Trump has thrown his support behind Ogles for re-election in 2024.

This endorsement comes following a dinner with several members of Tennessee's congressional delegation, which Ogles did not attend when Trump visited Nashville for a fundraising event last month. Following that dinner, several Tennesee Republicans—including Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty—announced they'd endorsed the former President.

Ogles was sworn in at the beginning of this year after he successfully flipped a seat that had been held by a Democrat since 2002 and that Democrats had claimed since the Civil War.

The freshman lawmaker has come under fire since NewsChannel 5 uncovered inaccuracies in his resume, reporting that Ogles has claimed "he's not only a businessman, he's also an economist, a nationally recognized expert in tax policy and health care, a trained police officer, [and] even an expert in international sex crimes."

The news outlet noted Ogles' "personal life story is filled with exaggerations" and fabrications about his education and work history, actions that have drawn comparisons to fellow New York Republican George Santos, whose lies and fabrications were last year uncovered by the New York Times.

Despite these challenges, Trump praised Ogles as a "fantastic" representative in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, saying he "is working hard to Grow the Economy, Stop Inflation, Secure our Southern Border, Uphold the Rule of Law, and Defend our Second Amendment."

Nancy Mace Ripped After Using Transgender Slur To Refer To Charlie Kirk Killer

South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace was fiercely criticized following the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk when she used a slur to reference the rumored gender identity of the killer, who has yet to be identified by authorities.

Since Kirk's killing on Wednesday, Mace has erroneously claimed that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death—and now she's taken the opportunity to once again attack transgender people, saying with no evidence whatsoever that "the shooter was a tr*nny, or pro-tr*nny."

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.
