Last night, North Korea issued a warning that they were reconsidering attending President Trump's much touted nuclear summit next month.
North Korea's statement reads:
"If the United States is trying to drive us into a corner to force our unilateral nuclear abandonment...reconsider our proceeding to the North Korea-U.S. summit."
After going completely silent yesterday and last night, Sarah Sanders stopped in the driveway of the White House this morning to speak with press, and faced questions about North Korea's announcement.
Her response:
"This is something that we fully expected."
Considering the extent to which Donald Trump and the White House has promoted this summit, people on Twitter were not buying this line from Sanders.
And they continued to mock Trump for losing his one chance at a Nobel Peace prize:
Ouch.
