Donald Trump's Interior Secretary Just Called Trump 'The Man Who Brought Christmas Back' and People Are Roasting Him Hard

Nope.

At the White House's annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony Wednesday night, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke had the honor of introducing President Donald Trump, and he did it in the exact way Trump would want him to...

As:

"the man who brought Christmas back to America!"

You can watch the clip below:

Christmas, of course, has not actually gone anywhere, as social media was quick to point out.

And wait, what about that Trump Organization "Holiday Party"!?

The Twitter mockery did not let up.

Credit where credit is due:

In 2017, Zinke gave Trump a nearly identical introduction when he referred to the president as "the man who brought Christmas back to the nation's capital."

This is ironic, because Trump has been clear about his favorite places to celebrate Christmas, or whatever it is that he does.

On Christmas Eve last year, Trump gave himself credit for reinvigorating the phrase, "Merry Christmas."

"People are proud to be saying Merry Christmas again," Trump tweeted. "I am proud to have led the charge against the assault of our cherished and beautiful phrase. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!"

Shortly after he was elected in 2016, Trump patted himself on the back for American consumer Christmas spending and for saving the planet from being "gloomy."

"The world was gloomy before I won - there was no hope," Trump boasted. "Now the market is up nearly 10% and Christmas spending is over a trillion dollars!"

Speaking of gloomy, the mood in the White House has been darkening because of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's encroaching investigation into Trump's ties to Russia and obstruction of justice.

Zinke is also the subject of multiple federal corruption probes.

In these dark times, some are struggling to find any yuletide cheer around the White House.

Here's a video compilation of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle wishing the country a Merry Christmas, just so our bases are covered.

Good grief.

Hillary Clinton Just Threw Some Epic Shade At Trump Over His Push To Print $250 Bills Featuring His Portrait

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mocked President Donald Trump following a report he approved a proposed design featuring his portrait on a new $250 bill bearing his signature, despite longstanding federal law barring living people from appearing on U.S. currency.

According to four current and former Treasury Department employees who spoke to the Post anonymously out of fear of retaliation, two political appointees at the department—U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach and senior adviser Mike Brown—repeatedly pressed Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff beginning last year to develop prototype designs for the bill.

Florida Cop Gives Woman Ticket For Allegedly Driving With Phone In Her Right Hand—Only For Her To Reveal She's An Amputee

Kathleen Thomas, 36, was pulled over in February by a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy over an alleged distracted driving violation captured on both Thomas’ phone and police body cam footage.
