Russia Probe Escalates As Mueller Demands Trump's Air Force One Phone Records

Will the White House hand over the records to the special prosecutor?

As the Russia probe continues, Special counsel Robert Mueller has asked the White House to turn over all documents related to Donald Trump Jr.'s initial false statement on his meeting with a Russian lawyer prior to the 2016 election.

The statement, reportedly dictated by phone on Air Force One with approval by President Trump, proved false after Trump Jr. released his email correspondence about setting up the meeting.

Taking a broad approach to the probe, Mueller's investigative team requests everything related to the controversies that have cast doubt over the Trump administration. At the forefront is the meeting between Donald Jr. and a Russian lawyer. That lawyer promised compromising information on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 election.

The conversation between father and son occurred in July. Trump Sr. was flying back from the G-20 summit in Germany while Trump Jr. was facing public allegations of collusion with the Russians back in the United States.

While reactions are coming in from both ends of the political spectrum about the latest records request...

President Trump has only reacted by bringing up Secretary Hillary Clinton and the media.
