The actor posted a warning on Instagram reminding pickleball players to wear protective eyewear after getting a black eye while playing.

In recent years, pickleball has taken the nation by storm, but, unfortunately, injuries associated with America's fastest-growing sport are on the rise, as well.

And Michelle Pfeiffer just found out first-backhand.

The actor took to Instagram to show off a brand new shiner, courtesy of the aforementioned activity.

In her post, the Academy Award nominee first shared a photo showing her holding ice to the injury. The two that followed revealed painful-looking bruising around her eye.

She captioned her post:

"WARNING ⚠️ Pickleball-Stay out of the Kitchen!! 😫"
"Thank you, Less! 🤣"

You can see the photos below.

Rita Wilson and Selma Blair took to the comments to wish their pal a quick recovery from her injury.

Her sister Dedee revealed in the comments that Pfeiffer continued to play even after the hit.

After the injury, the actor appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and told the host she was playing pickleball with her sisters Dedee and Lori and some friends.

"It was [Lori’s friend] who hit me in the eye. He was horrified of course."
"He couldn’t speak to me, he couldn’t even look at me."

Pfeiffer, who had previously cancelled an appearance on the show due to a stye around one of her eyes, was fearful she would have to postpone again.

"Last Thursday I’m playing pickleball — the ball hits me in the eye."
"The first thing I thought, ‘I’m gonna have to cancel Drew again!'"

Thankfully, the actor seemed good and well when she posted another selfie to Instagram just a day later expressing her gratitude for hockey season.

We're relieved to see she's healing nicely!
