Maya Rudolph Had The Best Reaction After Finding Out Biden Picked Kamala Harris As His VP

On Tuesday, August 11, Joe Biden announced former Presidential candidate and California Senator Kamala Harris would be his running mate for the upcoming November elections.

Comedy fans everywhere were especially excited about this news because they knew what it meant: Maya Rudolph would be returning to Saturday Night Live to reprise her Emmy-nominated role.

Maya Rudolph was actually recording a panel discussion with Entertainment Weekly when news broke of Biden's VP pick.

When told of the big announcement, she commented:

"Oh sh*t! That's spicy."

She also said of her returning to SNL:

"I love going to the show. Any excuse I can get, I love. I just didn't really anticipate traveling during a pandemic, but if there's anyone that can work it out I'm sure Lorne [Michaels] has some sort of invisible helicopter that can get me there."
"Ever since I was a kid, truly, I wanted to be on any kind of SCTV, Saturday Night Live, and I can't believe that I got to work there, and I can't believe that it's my family still."
"I'm so thrilled to even be associated with the show and that I got to go back. It's like the gift that keeps on giving. Honestly, it's my favorite place to play."

Meanwhile, comedy fans everywhere rejoiced at the opportunity for more Maya Rudolph!

It looks like Rudolph will have her Saturdays booked for the foreseeable future.

You know you've made it big as a politician when you have your own SNL impressionist.

This is the America the founding fathers prayed for.

Saturday Night Live is currently on hiatus but will likely be returning this fall in the same socially-distanced format they ended they ended their last season with.

Fans can almost certainly expect Rudolph to drop in at least once.

JD Vance Slammed After Baselessly Claiming Woman Killed By ICE In Minneapolis Was A 'Deranged Leftist'

Vice President JD Vance was criticized after he claimed without evidence that Renee Nicole Good—the woman fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday—was a "deranged leftist."

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin claimed Good “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.” But Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey pushed back against this narrative considering witnesses described seeing Good in the vehicle trying to flee officers when she was shot.
