Louis Vuitton Is Now Selling A Boot That Looks Like A Human Leg—And Fashion Fans Are Puzzled

Louis Vuitton Is Now Selling A Boot That Looks Like A Human Leg—And Fashion Fans Are Puzzled

The fashion brand is turning heads with their $2,470 'Illusion High Boot' which mimics human legs in socks and high heels.

Fashion brand Louis Vuitton has introduced their interpretation of "clothes that look like other things" with a pair of boots made to look like legs.

Available in ankle-high and knee-high variations, the hand-painted calfskin mimics black heels paired with white socks. They transcend the limits of traditional footwear, offering a twist inspired by the Surrealist art movement.

Beyond the sticker shock ($2,470!!), it's a statement, reflecting the brand's commitment to pushing fashion boundaries and sparking conversations.

At least, that's what they are attempting to do. Social media has seen fashion lovers showing off their new pairs, and the internet responded with typical cynicism and a visceral rejection of the boots.

At first, people called them ugly.

They understood the shoes were intended to create an illusion, but weren't sure they liked it.

Some folks thought the boots might be less fashion and more medical.

There were questions about the boots coming in more than just one pale shade. (They come in two shades.)

There was at least one upside, however.

As the holiday season approaches, people jumped to the obvious reference to A Christmas Story.

Finally, someone said it out loud: What happens when this boot design gets copied?

Louis Vuitton continues to redefine the fashion narrative, and the Illusion Ankle Boot is the latest chapter in their audacious journey.

Jasmine Crockett Stuns Supporters By Offering Some Advice To MTG Amid Her Public Rift From Trump

Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett stunned supporters after she shared some words of wisdom for her sometimes foe Marjorie Taylor Greene after President Donald Trump withdrew his support of her amid their fallout.

Trump distanced himself from Greene after she told Politico that she thinks Trump is going in “insanely the wrong direction to go" by pushing back against efforts to release the Epstein files. She called releasing the files and supporting the victims of the late financier, pedophile, and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein "just like the most common sense, easiest thing in the world."
