'Looney Tunes' Instagram Account Acknowledges Bugs/Daffy 'Romance'—And Fans Are Losing Their Minds

'Looney Tunes' Instagram Account Acknowledges Bugs/Daffy 'Romance'—And Fans Are Losing Their Minds

Long time Looney Tunes fans may have noticed the tension and constant bickering between Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck during their relationship.

It makes sense, Looney Tunes first came out in the 1930's—that's over 90 years together!

Some of those same long-time fans may also have noticed a certain tenderness, the way they fall right in sync with one another when it's time to mess with Elmer, or the fact the pair have moved in together as of more recent iterations of the show.

Shippers—the imaginary relationship kind, not the moving and logistics kind—have had their eyes on this Bugs and Daffy dynamic for ages, but it's never been something Looney Tunes officially addressed.

Until this.

Looney Tunes dropped a quick video on their Instagram detailing some adorable interactions between the two characters—moments like dances, laughs, flirtatious glances.

The caption even called them by their unofficial ship name "Baffy."

Welp ... we suppose Baffy is official now, right?

That's how Instagram is taking it.

The joy may be real for Bugs, Daffy and fans who shipped Baffy as a couple, but this wasn't a happy day for everyone.

In fact, some fan-made accounts took the news pretty hard.

They opted to complain in character... and it got really REALLY awkward.

And homophobic.

And angry.

And seemed to show no understanding of the show.

And at one point they may have been talking to themselves from multiple accounts?

Yeah ... Looney.

So yeah, Bugs and Daffy tried to have an official coming out moment and it got crashed by someone pretending to be Bugs' toxic, obsessive, homophobic ex.

2022 is great.

We seriously doubt "Baffy" will be making any overtly romantic appearances. Looney Tunes is known for more cheeky and playful humor, so we'll likely continue to see more of what we've seen for the last near-century.

Making it "canon" isn't likely to change the dynamic between a pair with such an established history with one another.

Cheers to Bugs and Daffy for finally being able to openly talk about what the shippers have known all along.

Baffy Forever.

MAGA Senator Slammed After Scolding Americans For Whining About High Gas Prices Amid Iran War—And Wow

Kansas Republican Senator Roger Marshall chastised Americans for complaining about high gas prices and insisted they should consider that their "national security is even more important" than whatever blows are being dealt to their wallets at the gas pump.

Consumer prices are up 3.3% compared to a year ago, largely fueled by a surge in energy costs. The energy index jumped 10.9% in a single month as oil and gas prices climbed sharply. Amid the Iran war and the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, oil has risen back to around $100 a barrel, pushing gasoline prices up by a record 25%.

Kid Goes Viral After Leaving Sweet Note On Plane For The Person Sitting In Their Seat On The Next Flight

A lot is going on in our world right now that gives us pause, and some of us might feel our hearts breaking under the weight of all of it. That makes acts of kindness, no matter how small they are, more important than ever before.

X user @oatmilkanie shouted out an unidentified child who clearly got the memo when they boarded a plane and discovered that the child had written a note for the next person to sit in their seat, directly on the paper nausea bag that's snuggled in the seat pocket in front of the passenger's knees.

Woman Creeped All The Way Out After Finding Hidden Door In The Ceiling Of Her Airbnb

A lot of us already cannot sleep well when we're visiting someone else's home or staying in a hotel, because we're uncomfortable in a different bed and maybe even a little creeped out in the unusual space.

But discovering a whole other room with a creepy door would quickly transform a space from a rental to something out of a horror movie real quick for anybody.
