May 2020 bring us all the self-esteem of Lizzo.

Niall Horan recounted to Jimmy Fallon how he met Lizzo in London.

Niall Horan Explains His Flirt Fest with Lizzowww.youtube.com

"I was in London doing a radio performance in the studio...she was coming in to do an interview in the studio as well, and someone said, 'Oh, Lizzo's here! She'd love to meet you.'"

As you can expect, Niall's meeting with Lizzo was the most Lizzo thing to ever happen.

"So we're passing in the corridor, I was like, 'Ah! Lovely to meet you!' I gave her a big hug. 'Your voice is incredible. Your songs are amazing. You're absolutely smashing it.' And literally, without missing a beat, she just went, 'You can smash this!' [referring to herself]."

Niall just starts applauding.

Niall simply said in response to Lizzo:

"Fair play."

He recounted:

"I actually started blushing myself!"

Lizzo's breakthrough album, Cuz I Love You, was only released earlier this year, and has already skyrocketed to being one of 2019's most defining albums.

The album includes the tracks "Juice," "Tempo," "Truth Hurts," "Boys," and "Water Me," and is Lizzo's first album to debut on the Billboard 200 at number 6.

As Lizzo is iconic, so is this moment with Niall.

And we are all blushing too.

Niall's album Flicker is available here.
