Daniel Lawrence Whitney—the conservative comedian better known as Larry the Cable Guy—faced backlash from his conservative fans after he made a joke about Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's heckling of President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address.

Whitney tweeted four photographs of Greene heckling Biden during the speech along with the following caption:

“This pic reminds me of every comedians x girlfriend coming to their show and sitting in the back 6 days after the breakup.”

You can see his tweet below.

Many of Whitney's conservative fans responded negatively and jumped to Greene's defense.

The backlash proved so intense that Whitney was forced to clarify that he didn't actually vote for Biden and that he wasn't making a "political joke" with his original post.

He wrote:

"This wasn’t a political joke! Unbelievable. Lighten up some of you sheesh. It was about a comedian getting heckled by his [ex-girlfriend] at the club."
"She had all the gestures. Some of you def don’t follow me or you’d think twice on your dumb comments."

You can see his tweet below.

And to be fair, quite a few of his fans appreciated the joke anyway as well as his response to the backlash.

The comedian is a prominent conservative who once made headlines for warning that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton "will be the end of the country."

He once admitted that he couldn't make up his mind about former President Donald Trump and ultimately voted for the libertarian Gary Johnson during the 2016 presidential election.

Whitney, who once said he likes "some of the things [Trump] says," has also lamented Trump's often "outrageous" behavior for putting off other conservatives. He has also accused mainstream media outlets of "manipulating us" by publishing stories critical of Trump, his administration, and his policies.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin was scolded by House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security Chair Mark Amodei after Mullin got combative with Connecticut Democratic Representative Rosa DeLauro during his testimony.

Mullin's confrontation began after DeLauro, the panel's ranking Democrat, referenced President Donald Trump's family separation policy, noting that roughly 3,900 children had been separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. She cited a 2021 report released during the Biden administration.

Kellyanne Conway Just Tried To Claim Trump's Divisive Speech On The National Mall Was Actually 'Inclusive'—And The Delusion Is Real

President Donald Trump's former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway was criticized after she praised his speech on the National Mall on Wednesday night by claiming on Fox News that Trump extended an "olive branch" to people who didn't vote for him.

Trump's remarks themselves resembled a campaign rally more than the unifying and "inclusive" celebration organizers had promised. Within minutes of taking the stage, he criticized former President Joe Biden without mentioning him by name, declaring that the United States had recently been "a dead country" before claiming it had become "the hottest country anywhere in the world."
