Kidz Bop's Hilariously Wholesome Lyric Changes To Lil Nas X's 'Montero' Have The Internet LOLing

Music star Lil Nas X's work is some of the most audacious, ear-wormy stuff out there nowadays... but it's not exactly what you'd call "family-friendly."

Enter Kidz Bop, the long-running series of popular music covers "for and by kids," who just dropped their version of Lil Nas X's hit "Montero."

But how do you even make a song as, um, adult as "Montero" kid-friendly?

Well Kidz Bop certainly tried.

The results have the internet screaming with laughter.

Hear the revised tune below.

Kidz Bop's take on "Montero" has been hotly anticipated by people eager to see how on Earth they would tackle a song about cocaine and gay sex—including Lil Nas X himself who had a good laugh on Twitter about Kidz Bop's announcement of the song earlier this month.

But no one was prepared for how hilarious the finished product would be.

Not even their overhaul of Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda"—hilariously rewritten to be about actual snakes—holds a candle to it.

Take for instance, Lil Nas X's fairly graphic verse:

"I wanna sell what you're buying / I wanna feel on yo' ass in Hawaii / I want that jet lag from f*cking and flying / Shoot a child in your mouth while I'm riding."

Where to even begin?

Well, if you're Kidz Bop, you just make it about having dinner on vacation.

Or something?

"I wanna sell what you're buyin' / I wanna lie on the beach in Hawaii / I want that jet lag from livin' and flyin' / Put a smile on your face while we're dining'."

Okay, sure...

Giphy

Hats off, Kidz Bop.

The Kidz Bop version is so deliciously ludicrous from start to finish that when Lil Nas X himself posted about it on Twitter, he just posted a screenshot of the lyrics with no comment whatsoever.

There's not really much else to say, is there.

Of course, Twitter being Twitter, they found the words and people roasted Kidz Bop to a hilarious crisp.

The Kidz Bop "Montero" fun doesn't stop here.

There's also a music video coming soon as well.

It'll be interesting to see their take on that whole having-gay-sex-with-Satan part.

Mom Sparks Backlash After Ranting That Childfree People Are 'Practically On Vacation 24/7'

There has been a lot of buzz around relationships between married women, mothers, and single women lately, and specifically how single women are treated. Now fuel is being added to the fire in how single women are portrayed, specifically that they must be on vacation full-time.

That's because mom and TikToker Danielle Ekwerekwu really thought she was onto something when she pointed out that childfree people not only have more free time than parents do, but that they are essentially on vacation full-time while parents are making sacrifices.

Teachers Share The Things That Were Normal For Millennials That Would Have Their Students 'Crashing Out'

We all know, in theory, that the times are changing, and with each new generation of students there will be changes in educational curriculum, approach, and learning tools.

But just like how hard it can be to do the math to figure out how long ago we graduated from high school, it can be really hard to swallow the fact that school looks so incredibly different for students now than it did for Millennials and Gen-Xers.

Dr. Oz Raises Eyebrows Over His Bizarre Defense Of New Guidelines For Alcohol Consumption

Dr. Mehmet Oz, President Donald Trump's administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), raised eyebrows over his bizarre and surprisingly permissive defense of new guidelines for alcohol consumption, saying "it does allow people an excuse to bond and socialize, and there’s probably nothing healthier than having a good time with friends in a safe way."

Oz spoke as the Trump administration on Wednesday released updated dietary guidelines for Americans, emphasizing whole and minimally processed foods, reduced consumption of refined carbohydrates, and what officials described as a “war” on added sugars.
