Kid Rock Tells Tucker That Trump Asked Him for Advice on North Korea—and Yeah, That Tracks

Kid Rock Tells Tucker That Trump Asked Him for Advice on North Korea—and Yeah, That Tracks
Fox News

Former President Donald Trump has had an erratic relationship with North Korea's Kim Jong-Un. In a 2017 tweet, Trump suggested that Kim was "short and fat". In 2018, Trump warned Kim that his "Nuclear Button" was a "much bigger & more powerful one than his."

But over the course of Trump's four years in the White House, the tensions between the two leaders loosened, with Trump joking they "fell in love" and boasting about their "love letters" to each other (letters he illegally took from the White House to Mar-a-Lago after his presidency).

In a recent interview with far-right Fox News host Tucker Carlson, conservative musician Kid Rock offered new insight into how Trump went about conducting relations with North Korea.

Watch below.

During the first year of Trump's presidency, the White House hosted Rock, along with conservatives like former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and guitarist Ted Nugent, wherein the three were granted a dinner and private tour of the White House.

Rock relayed to Carlson that Trump asked:

“‘What do you think we should do about North Korea?’ I’m like, ‘What? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer this.’”

He also went on to detail how Trump asked for his guidance on a tweet about the ISIS caliphate:

“He wanted to put out a tweet … I don’t like to speak out of school. I hope I’m not. But … the tweet was, and I’m paraphrasing, but it’s like, you know, ‘If you ever joined the caliphate, you know, trying to do this, you’re going to be dead.’ He goes, ‘What do you think?’ [I said] ‘Awesome. I can’t add any better.’"

Sadly, social media users saw Trump asking for foreign policy advice from the likes of Kid Rock woefully on-brand.

Others chastised Carlson for laughing at the anecdote.

Yikes.

President Donald Trump shared an unhinged tribute to Apple CEO Tim Cook—whom he again referred to as "Tim Apple"—following Cook's announcement that Apple will have a new leader starting in September, openly reminiscing about all the times Cook would call him to "kiss my ass."

Cook took over from Steve Jobs and reshaped Apple by leaning on his operations expertise. He streamlined and expanded global supply chains, introduced Apple-designed chips, and pushed the company beyond hardware into services, launching subscription offerings like Apple News, Apple TV+, and Apple Pay, which have since become major revenue drivers.

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spoke frankly with MeidasTouch Network's Pablo Menriquez when asked about President Donald Trump's second-term golfing habits, pointing out why Americans might actually want him on the "golf course more than you want him in the Oval Office."
