The Hollywood premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4 was Monday night, and the absence of one of the film's stars was weighing heavily on all.
The passing of Lance Reddick took an emotional toll on those involved in the film, and Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stehelski announced that the fourth installation of John Wick would be dedicated to their dear friend. The cast all wore blue ribbons - Reddick's favorite color - at the premiere to honor him.
Reeves was asked about Reddick by multiple outlets to which he responded emotionally.
He told Deadline Hollywood:
"Lance was a beautiful person, [a] special artist, a man of grace and dignity, and such a passion for his craft."
"And to have the chance to work with him over 10 years and four films is something that is very special to me and it f**king sucks he's not here."

He also told The Hollywood Reporter:
"Every time you were in his presence, he was such a special person, special artist, and he had a grace and dignity, and a passion for life and his craft."
"Just to be in his light and to be in his presence and get a chance to work with him, every day was special."
Variety reported that Reeves gushed about the late actor on the red carpet.
"Lance is a people person, a special artist, a gentleman of grace and dignity."
"It's just really something special, every time he stepped on set, to watch the passion he had for his work."
"It's really easy to work with him."
Reeves wasn't alone in his emotional state.
Viewers of his comments about Reddick shared their sadness of the loss, as well.
Many also addressed the difficulty the members of the film must have faced and applauded Reeves for so eloquently honoring Reddick during such a heartbreaking time.
During the Hollywood premiere, Reddick's first appearance in the film garnered applause from the audience.
John Wick: Chapter 4 releases in theaters on Friday.
