Kayleigh McEnany Shredded for Saying 'You Didn't See Crisis After Crisis' Under Trump

Kayleigh McEnany Shredded for Saying 'You Didn't See Crisis After Crisis' Under Trump
Fox News

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany rose to national infamy for her eagerness to defend the Trump administration amid a litany of scandals and crises, often lying to do so.

Amid the Biden administration's widely-panned ongoing withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, McEnany lied yet again about the Trump administration's record.

Watch below.

McEnany said on Fox News:

"We are eight months into a Biden presidency, Jesse. Wrap your head around that. We still have three years and four months left. Look, when President Trump was President, you didn't see crisis after crisis. You just didn't see it."

We did, in fact, see it.

Even omitting Trump's personal crises, such as tell-all books regarding the ineptitude of his administration and confirmed reports that he owed a billion dollars in debt, the Trump administration not only repeatedly oversaw "crisis after crisis," but the former President's actions often exacerbated them.

When historic uprisings against racist police brutality erupted last summer, the former President appeared to endorse shooting so-called looters, until an armed Trump supporter drove across state lines and killed two protestors. His administration gassed peaceful protesters outside the White House shortly before Trump walked to a nearby chapel to pose with a Bible.

The final year of Trump's presidency was defined by the pandemic that's gone on to kill more than 600 thousand Americans. Trump frequently disavowed even the most basic safety measures endorsed by his own officials, sharing conspiracy theories, pushing bogus "treatments," and hosting superspreader events.

Then, of course, there was the constitutional crisis he tried to manufacture with lies that the 2020 election was somehow stolen from him. After months of Trump and his allies insisting to the public that the election was illegitimate, a mob of pro-Trump extremists stormed the United States Capitol in a deadly failed insurrection. It would be hours before Trump finally condemned the violence and told the rioters to go home, all the while emphasizing that he loved them and they were "very special."

These are only from the nine months McEnany was serving as press secretary.

Her claim, like so many she's made in the past, was completely at odds with reality.

Some agreed with McEnany—but not in the way she imagined.

It's not surprising, however, that McEnany has to lie to defend Trump. After all, the former President told more than 30 thousand lies while in office.

Elizabeth Warren Rips Education Secretary's Mind-Numbing Video For 'Teacher Appreciation Week'

Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized Education Secretary Linda McMahon for paying tribute to educators during "Teacher Appreciation Week," noting the hypocrisy of McMahon's actions as she honors teachers on one hand and works to dismantle the Department of Education on the other.

In March, President Donald Trump signed an executive order empowering McMahon “to the maximum extent appropriate and permitted by law, take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return authority over education to the States and local communities.”
