Pro-Trump Rep Tried to Use a Reagan Quote to Slam Biden for Relief Package and It Backfired Instantly

Despite his racist policies and his complete dismissal of a national epidemic, the late former President Ronald Reagan continues to be lionized by the Republican party.

Republican lawmakers praise Reagan's emphasis on small government and credit him with conceiving the principles of today's Republican party.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH)—a vocal proponent of former President Donald Trump—invoked Reagan in a recent tweet designed to slam President Joe Biden's efforts to provide relief in the face of a pandemic that's killed over 500 thousand Americans.

He compared a Reagan and a Biden quote to do so.

Jordan was decrying the American Rescue Plan, the latest wave of pandemic relief which President Biden signed into law earlier this month. In addition to providing stimulus checks to millions of Americans, it also allocates resources to vaccine rollouts, small business protections, and a slew of other vital provisions.

The bill passed without a single Republican vote, despite its widespread popularity among American voters, slamming it as a Democratic wish list. Jordan himself falsely claimed that only nine percent of the $1.9 trillion package had to do with direct virus relief.

His latest attempt to slam Biden by deifying Reagan only ended up discrediting himself.

They strongly disagreed with the common Republican approval of Reagan's legacy.

A recent Morning Consult poll found that 72 percent of Americans support the American Rescue Plan.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
