Jean-Pierre Shuts Down Doocy After He Asks If White House Is 'Loving' Chaos In The House

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had zero time for Fox News reporter Peter Doocy after he asked if the White House was 'loving the fact that Republicans don’t appear to be able to govern the one part of the government that they actually control.'

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was not about to give Fox News reporter Peter Doocy the answer he was looking for after he asked if the West Wing was "loving" the in-fighting happening between Republicans in the House of Representatives.

Doocy was referencing the paralysis that has impacted the House since far-right Republicans led a successful effort to oust now-former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who became the first-ever Speaker to be removed from his position during a legislative session.

Jean-Pierre's response was straight to the point—and she immediately shut down his loaded question.

You can watch what happened in the video below.

Jean-Pierre said:

“Nobody’s ‘loving’ anything when we’re not able to deliver for the American people. Nobody’s loving that."
“It is important for Congress to work, not for us, but on behalf of the American people. It is important to make sure that we meet the challenges of the American people. That’s what’s important."
"What we saw—you heard from the President—what we saw on Saturday should have never happened, but we’re glad that a deal was made. We’re glad that we’re not in a shutdown. But House Republicans should have never gotten us that far.”

Jean-Pierre reminded Doocy that Republicans have control of the House and are "creating the chaos."

She added:

"That is not helpful to the American people. We’re not loving it. It is not helpful to any American across the country.”

Many praised the Press Secretary's response and criticized Doocy's line of questioning.

Jean-Pierre—much like her predecessor Jen Psaki—has sparred with Doocy over White House priorities more than once.

She had an incredulous reaction over the summer after Doocy asked if President Joe Biden supports limiting Americans to just two beers a week, a claim linked to comments made by Dr. George Koob, director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), who cited observations in Canada regarding a similar recommendation.

She previously also had to remind Doocy that the White House is invested in protecting the lives of American citizens after he suggested Russia got "such a better deal” when the White House secured the release of professional basketball player Brittney Griner in a prisoner exchange with Russia after she was sentenced to nine years on drug smuggling charges.

At the time, Jean-Pierre said Griner "deserved" to be freed because of her American citizenship and criticized the Russian government for how they had "illegally and totally illegitimately treated this situation."

Another smackdown to add to her list.
