It's only been a couple months since actors Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced their separation. So of course, Momoa's public appearance in proximity of any woman will set tongues wagging.

After Momoa and actor Kate Beckinsale were seen together at Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party last week, rumors began to swirl they were dating—especially after Momoa gave Beckinsale his coat.

But Momoa is setting the record straight, denying the two are anything more than friends.

The two may just be pals, but you can't blame people for thinking otherwise.

The two appeared awfully cozy at the annual Vanity Fair post-Oscars bash, where they were spotted together as they were leaving the event.

The two seemed to get closer and closer while they chatted, but it was a certain gesture that really got people talking. At one point Momoa gave Beckinsale his jacket, draping it around her bare shoulders.

But Momoa isn't having any of it.

At the premiere for the new film AmbuLAnce on Monday, Momoa told Extra the rumors are just that—rumors which he called "cray."

Momoa clarified he and Beckinsale were just chatting about the latter's native England, where Momoa spent several months in 2021 filming the upcoming Aquaman sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

And as for the coat?

Momoa says it was all down to something very simple—the temperature outside.

As he put it to Extra:

"Everyone is like, ‘Are you dating?’ No, no, it was chivalry. The woman was cold."
"Absolutely not, not together. She is very nice. I was being very nice, just being a gentleman."

And it sounds like the furor over the simple gesture has taught Momoa a lesson.

"Now, I am not giving my coat to anyone."

On Twitter, many people were glad to hear their favorite star is still very much on the market.

But others were still holding out hope for a romance.

Momoa also addressed rumors he and ex-wife Lisa Bonet are reconnecting.

That too appears to be nothing but idle chatter.

Man Goes Viral After 3D-Printing A 6-Pound Phone Case To Combat Screen Addiction

Many Millennials will remember back in the nineties as the last of the "latchkey kids" who were prominently babysat by their televisions, and the commercials that rolled out, made popular on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, promoting kids to go play outside instead of watching TV all day.

Now in 2025, videos on Instagram and TikTok encouraging people to "pause their scroll" and to "put down their phones" are becoming more common and popular, because people are realizing how detrimental our increasing screen time is to our emotional, physical, and psychological health.

Woman Sparks Heated Debate After Encouraging People To Smile At Walmart Greeters

There's an old saying that goes, "It costs nothing to be kind."

Smiling at a stranger, saying hi back to a young and socialable child, holding a door for someone, and maybe even exchanging a pleasantry or two at the checkout line costs nothing more than a few words passing our lips and showing a little kindness.
