A woman attempted to fool her fiancé into thinking she was about to cheat on him through a popular social media-geared "cheating" prank.

But her mischievous plan backfired and the internet swooned over the boyfriend's adorable and innocent response. He became an instant internet icon.

Sam and Monica are social media influencers with a TikTok page highlighting their romantic lives together. They currently have 1.2 million followers on the popular app.

The prank involves someone texting the other person implying they are cheating on their significant other and then filming their reaction.

Here is Monica's attempt at the prank:

In the clip, Sam left their home to go to his car.

Monica texted Sam under the guise he was the "other person" and wrote:

"He's leaving now, you can come over."

Sam then immediately ran upstairs to confront her about the text, but not with the reaction you would expect.

He stood in the doorway with a grin on his face, prompting Monica to ask:

"I thought you were leaving?

Sam, missing the joke completely, giggled while saying:

"Yeah, I was leaving, until I saw your cheeky text message."
"Are you planning a belated birthday surprise for me or something?"

Still determined to keep up with the ruse, Monica said:

"No! Your birthday was over a month ago!"

Sam remained giddy but tried not to further spoil the "surprise" she was planning for him.

He responded:

"Yeah but it's never too late to celebrate, is it? I know you're doing it, OK, I love you so much."

He kissed her and went on his merry way after pledging:

"I'll act surprised, I promise."

One of the hashtags on the video was #couplegoals. Indeed.

The adorable clip—which was captioned, "Now I need to throw him a party"—received over 605.9K likes.

Followers gushed over their sweet relationship.

Monica may have failed at the prank, but she has already found a winner in Sam.

Hopefully, she isn't having any problems planning that fabulous "surprise" party for her irresistible Romeo.

Rainbow Bridge Honoring Kids' Beloved Late Pets Gets Cruelly Vandalized—And Everyone Has The Same Thought

"The rainbow bridge" is a euphemism for where deceased pets go after they pass, and people have called it that for decades now.

But when you're an anti-LGBTQ+ bigot, everything looks like a threat to your bizarre obsession with gender roles and people's personal lives. And sadly, it seems "the rainbow bridge" is no exception.

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Dunks On Trump For Hosting The Kennedy Center Honors

California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump by sharing an AI-generated photo of himself accepting the inaugural—and not real—"Kennedy Center peace prize" from Trump.

The photo accompanied a post in which Newsom mocked not just Trump but also Ric Grenell, the Kennedy Center's president, whom Newsom referred to as a "janitor" in a post that—like many of Newsom's past posts—is written in a style not unlike the rants Trump publishes on Truth Social.
