GOP Election Official Warns Republican Leaders ‘Someone’s Gonna Get Shot’ Over Trump’s Fraud Claims

President Donald Trump has told over 20 thousand lies since he's been in office; lies about everything from his father's country of origin, to the paths of hurricanes, to the threat posed by the virus that's killed over 250 thousand Americans.

Nevertheless, there is a small but vocal fraction of the country who believes the President is the only one telling the truth.

Through a systematic demonization of the journalists and media outlets meant to hold him accountable, coupled with superficial displays of patriotism and the shattering of long-held norms, Trump and his enablers have crafted a collective delusion by which some of his most ardent supporters live.

That's why—despite despite repeated debunking—thousands of Trump's supporters believe Democrats coordinated with election software companies to orchestrate widespread voter fraud that tipped the victory to President-elect Joe Biden.

Trump's constant claims of voter fraud haven't brought him closer to another four years in the White House, but they have convinced thousands of his supporters that American democracy is vulnerable to millions of fraudulent votes and that the 2020 election wasn't an election at all, but a coup.

As a result, some of Trump's supporters are advocating violence against election officials who adhere to the votes of the people, accusing them instead of subverting democracy.

One of the Trump campaign's lawyers, Joe DiGenova, said that former U.S. Election Security head Christopher Krebs, whom Trump fired for speaking out against the bogus claims of fraud, should be executed.

In an appearance on the Howie Carr show, DiGenova said:

"Anybody who thinks the election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity, that guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot."

DiGenova's comments came while Trump railed against election officials in the state of Georgia, which went blue for the first time in decades this year, for supposedly permitting election fraud.

These officials and others lambasted by Trump and his campaign are now receiving death threats.

In a chilling rebuke, Georgia's Voting System Implementation Manager Gabriel Sterling—a lifelong Republican—decried the rhetoric of the President and his allies, urging Trump to condemn violence and threats.

Watch below.

Citing DiGenova's comments and death threats against election officials, a visibly angry Sterling said:

"This is elections. This is the backbone of American democracy, and all of you who have not said a damn word are complicit in this. I can't begin to explain the level of anger I have right now over this, and every American, every Georgian, Republican and Democrat alike, should have the same level of anger."

He called on Trump and Georgia's Republican Senators—both of whom are up for reelection—to condemn violence against election officials for doing their jobs.

"Mr. President, you have not condemned these actions or this language. Senators, you have not condemned this language or these actions. This has to stop! We need you to step up and if you're going to take a position of leadership - show some. ... What you don't have the ability to do -- and you need to step up and say this -- is stop inspiring people to commit potential acts of violence. Someone is going to get hurt. Someone is going to get shot. Someone's going to get killed. And it's not right. It's not right."

People praised Sterling for meeting the urgency of the moment.

Others weren't convinced that Sterling's rebuke would change the hearts of Trump and his supporters, knowing that these calls to violence have been leveled at others throughout Trump's time in the White House.

Some warned that the inevitable conclusion of support for Trump is his betrayal.

A growing number of Trump's supporters are calling on him to invoke the Insurrection Act and try so-called traitors in military tribunals.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
