Non-binary actor Ezra Miller was arrested in Hawaii early Monday morning for attacking other customers in a karaoke bar in the city of Hilo, on the island of Hawaii.

Miller, who is best known for starring in the the Oscar-nominated film We Need To Talk About Kevin and the Justice League and Fantastic Beasts film franchises, has been charged with disorderly conduct and harassment for the incident.

According to the police report, Miller was seen yelling obscenities at other patrons and later "lunged" at another customer.

In its report, the Hawaii Police Department described Miller as "agitated."

They wrote:

“During the course of their investigation, police determined that the man, later identified as Ezra Miller, became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke."

Miller's behavior then escalated to a physical altercation, according to the report.

“Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense)."
"The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail.”

Miller was arrested and jailed, but was later released after posting $500 bail.

But things got even more dramatic from there. After their release, Miller burst into the bedroom of a couple staying in Hilo, threatened them and stole some of their belongings. The couple filed a restraining order against the actor.

According to Hawaii Police Assistant Chief Kenneth Quiocho, the department has received 10 police calls about Miller in the past three weeks.

Miller has a history of run-ins with the law. In 2011, they were charged with disorderly conduct and fined $600 following a marijuana-related traffic stop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

And in a 2020 incident which was widely shared on social media, Miller was kicked out of a bar in the Icelandic capital city of Reykjavik after appearing to choke a woman. Police were not called but Miller was forcibly removed by employees.

On Twitter, many found the situation shocking and worrisome.

But many others couldn't help but make jokes about Miller's night out.

Miller is set to appear in the next installment of the Fantastic Beasts series, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, next month.

While a person's wedding day is meant to be a celebration of their love and starting a new life with their partner, it's also important to remember the life they're leaving "behind," specifically the household that raised them.

In a video that's gone viral multiple times before, a Chinese father presents his daughter, who is about to be married, with a bowl of dumplings. He then selects one dumpling and feeds it to her, as a reminder of how he raised her and symbolizing that this is the last time he'll take care of her before she becomes a married woman.
